The ceasefire ordered is for the current period left of Ramadan about 2 weeks, plenty of time to surge humanitarian aid around and release all hostages. Like you, Hamas don't seem to get this either, they've welcomed the resolution in one breath and then make a completely contradictory statement, They were ordered to release immediately with no pre conditions but said: "Hamas welcomed the Security Council resolution, saying in a statement that it "affirms readiness to engage in immediate prisoner swaps on both sides."
