  1. US Interviews Hamas Hostage Victims, Families in Terror Probe The US Justice Department is interviewing survivors and families of victims of Hamas’ Oct. 7 attack in Israel as it attempts to build a sweeping case against the militant group and its financial backers. The individuals, including former hostages and families of US citizens murdered abroad, have sat down with prosecutors and FBI agents in recent months, according to people familiar with the investigation. Some have traveled from Israel and provided videos and text messages to help authorities build a chronology of the attack and identify who carried out the kidnappings. While part of the US probe is looking at acts of terrorism, a broader focus is tackling the financial networks that have enabled Hamas. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2024-07-08/doj-interviews-hamas-hostage-victims-families-in-terror-probe https://archive.md/IbDRU
  2. it is a known fact that Netanyahu financed Hamas, Wrong, its not. The money came from Qatar.
  3. Someone who knows and said this after the strike. The topic of this thread Fatah spokesperson, Munir al-Jarub, said in an interview with the Saudi network "Al-Hadath": "Hamas is positioning itself among Palestinian civilians... This is a big mistake." https://x.com/IsraelMFA/status/1812488014158852607
  4. Way past time for all NATO countries to allow their donated military aid to be used as the NATO head says! Ukraine has right to strike military targets within Russian territory, Stoltenberg says "My position is that there is no doubt that Ukraine has the right to attack legitimate military targets on the territory of the aggressor country, Russia," Stoltenberg said. "This is clearly defined by international law. Since this is a war that Russia started against Ukraine, Ukraine has the right to self-defense, and this includes strikes on the territory of the aggressor. This is absolutely clear to me." https://www.yahoo.com/news/ukraine-strike-military-targets-within-181027751.html
  5. Bit more info on the lead up to the strike on the terrorists villa/compound which was weeks in the making. Latest: Israeli security officials told the @nytimes that a few weeks ago the villa and compound in Khan Yunis belonging to the family of Rafa Salama, where Deif stayed occasionally, were identified, But following the assessment that Mohammed Deif would join Salama , it was decided to wait with the attack. Deif health problems forced him to leave the tunnels. Therefore It was decided to wait - until the moment Deif was identified in the complex. According to the same sources, an attempt to assassinate Deif , the head of the military wing of Hamas, occurred after weeks of surveillance of the compound. According to the sources, the @idf came to the conclusion that Deif, who survived several assassination attempts, suffers from health problems that force him to spend more time above ground, outside the Hamas tunnels, than the other leaders of the terrorist organization. Evidence suggested that Deif trusted Salama. This evidence, obtained by The @nytimes, included a recently revealed photo of the two resting together in a garden. There is still no formal confirmation that Deif was eliminated but the chances are high that he was. @nytimes Close Surveillance Led to Israeli Attack on Hamas Compound Israel officials had been hoping that a high-ranking Hamas figure, Muhammad Deif, would visit a villa tied to a top lieutenant. They struck when he appeared to be there, officials said. For weeks, Israel kept watch on a palm-tree-dotted villa in southern Gaza where it believed a top Hamas lieutenant was staying with his family, but it held off on a strike, according to three senior Israeli defense officials. The Israelis had a bigger target in mind: Muhammad Deif, the elusive leader of Hamas’s military wing. https://archive.ph/FH3ub https://www.nytimes.com/2024/07/14/world/middleeast/israel-hamas-deif-assassination-attempt.html
  6. Good news, Hamas has just confirmed one of the terrorist leaders was killed. So dozens of Hamas and at least one of their leaders so far. The London-based newspaper Al-Sharq Al-Awsat cited a Hamas source that said Rafa Salama, the commander of the Khan Yunis Brigade in Hamas' military wing, was killed in an Israeli attack, and his body was immediately buried.
  7. Interesting article on the elusive target. Fingers crossed he's eliminated Who is Mohammed Deif? The shadowy Hamas commander known as 'The Guest' Deif joined Hamas around 1990 and learnt the skill of bombmaking under Yehya Ayyash, a renowned bombmaker known as "the engineer". He was accused of masterminding a slew of suicide bombings from 1995 onwards and was held personally responsible for the deaths of dozens of Israelis. He was also credited with being the architect of a sophisticated network of tunnels beneath the Gaza Strip and designing the Qassam rocket. A Hamas source, who has known Deif since the 1990s, told Reuters Deif has been at the heart of developments inside the armed wing since 1994. https://news.sky.com/story/who-is-mohammed-deif-the-shadowy-hamas-commander-known-as-the-guest-12981449

Meir Jan, 22, was held by Abdallah Aljamal (sometimes spelled Abdullah al-Jamal), a reporter for The Palestine Chronicle, run by the People Media Project, a tax-exempt organization located in Olympia, Washington, Fox News reported on Tuesday. https://www.jns.org/rescued-hostage-sues-us-nonprofit-for-ties-to-gaza-journalist-who-held-him/
  9. UNRWA's headquarters in Gaza City again being used as a command center and terror base.
  10. The compound that was targeted belonged to Salameh the commander of Hamas’s Khan Younis Brigade, friend and deputy of Muhammad Deif. Morally bankrupt Hamas embedding themselves among civilians. Several dozen more Hamas operatives were also in the area of the site when it was bombed. The IDF releases imagery showing a fenced-off Hamas compound in the southern Gaza Strip where Mohammed Deif, the commander of Hamas's military wing, and Rafa’a Salameh, the commander of Hamas's Khan Younis Brigade were targeted earlier today. "The area that was struck is an open and forested area, with several buildings and sheds," the military says. 11. A deliberate act of terror. "If we don't accept that as a given, if we don't forbid ourselves to consider them humans, to feel sorry for them, save them - we will weaken ourselves." ◾️"So - simple and scary, but we must not justify ourselves for the strike on the children's hospital. We must say: do you want this to stop? Give up. Capitulate. And then, maybe, we will spare you." ◾️"Maybe it's time we agreed that there's no civilian population on that side of the Dnipro? And turn their cities into 'Gaza' - with a simple and clear goal to save our children from death." My thoughts: The only thing Russia understands and accepts is power. When it senses weakness, it becomes stronger and believes it can get away with anything. As I said before, the strike on the children's hospital was a deliberate and thought-out war crime. It was a message: Russia is stronger than NATO. Putin is convinced of that, and this week has reinforced his conviction. Ukrainian Armed Forces are standing between global order and global collapse. Putin believes he is unstoppable. Can the West prove him wrong?
  12. It could have been a similar scenario as the beach - a falling rocket. Nope and the Russian rocket debris also found with evidence provided to UN. Back on the vodka for you Bob
  13. No they could have just rolled over and let Russia do a Bucha to all Ukraine..........
  14. Just 8 hardcore Russian backers. Sixty wavers. And ninety on the right side. Russia is pariah state. UN demands Russia immediately return Europe’s biggest nuclear plant to Ukraine https://apnews.com/article/un-ukraine-russia-nuclear-plant-zaporizhzhia-resolution-be93a5e9fa99d7625aece1b47e17796e
  15. Never give up hope so still keeping fingers crossed for the remaining hostages languishing in the tunnels and residences of Gaza. A Gaza cease-fire agreement appears within reach A senior U.S. official told me Wednesday that “the framework is agreed” and the parties are now “negotiating details of how it will be implemented.” To forge the deal, Middle East adviser Brett McGurk and CIA Director William J. Burns have been shuttling among regional capitals since November. Officials caution that although the framework is in place, a final pact probably isn’t imminent, and the details are complex and will take time to work through. https://archive.ph/2EFvd https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2024/07/10/israel-hamas-gaza-ceasefire-agreement-within-reach/ Ceasefire deal 'within reach,' US official says, which includes interim gov't in Gaza - report The "interim governance" plan, the op-ed says, would see neither Israel nor Hamas control Gaza, but a "core group of 2,500 supporters of the Palestinian Authority" backed by moderate Arab allies. Before such an interim government takes hold, the first phase of the agreement would see 33 hostages who are alive released by Hamas, which include all remaining female captives, men over the age of 50, and any of those who are injured. Hundreds of Palestinian prisoners would be released by Israel, and its forces would be withdrawn from areas considered densely populated in the Gaza Strip's eastern border. https://www.jpost.com/israel-hamas-war/article-809863 Sheryl Sandberg: “No matter what flag you fly, no matter what you're marching for, no matter what you believe, rape is not acceptable as a tool of war. 16. The Russian terrorists will never win "Two days ago, after Russia bombed a children's hospital in Kyiv and killed and wounded hundreds of civilians across Ukraine, a representative of Putin’s regime displayed his QR code. He also openly declared at a Security Council meeting that Russia will persist in its coercive tactics against Ukraine using military force, meaning they will continue the annihilation of Ukrainians as a nation. I want to present the correct QR code to access a set of photographic evidence documenting this heinous crime. I also urge you to help save the lives of hundreds of children who are in urgent need of medical treatment." https://x.com/SergiyKyslytsya/status/1811489517247037511
  17. A symbol of the horrific holocaust like you didn't know, that was attacked by hate and vandalism.
  18. Interesting, Hamas has already opened a new office in Iraq Palestinian militias, including Hamas, are continuing to coordinate militarily and politically with Iranian-backed Iraqi militias. The PFLP, Hamas, and PIJ delegations’ visit to Baghdad comes amid reports that Hamas plans to relocate its political leadership to Iraq. Emirati media reported in late June 2024 that Hamas plans to move its political leadership to Iraq due to growing pressure from the United States and Qatar on Hamas to show greater flexibility in ceasefire negotiations with Israel.[v] Iran will reportedly be responsible for protecting Hamas personnel and offices in Iraq. The Emirati report followed the opening of a Hamas political office in Baghdad in early June 2024. https://www.criticalthreats.org/analysis/iran-update-july-10-2024

  21. Bit more detail here, it was actually a deputy manager at RT. The bot farm allegedly originated from a deputy manager at RT — a Russian state-backed news agency — and spread disinformation on the X social media platform. The FBI and international partners targeted a total of 968 accounts, seizing a portion of them, while the X platform, formerly known as Twitter, voluntarily suspended the remaining trove of sham users identified in court documents that authorized their seizure, the Justice Department said in a prepared statement. It did not specify how many accounts were seized by the U.S., nor the remaining amount taken down on X, which did not immediately respond to a request for comment. “Russia intended to use this bot farm to disseminate AI-generated foreign disinformation, scaling their work with the assistance of AI to undermine our partners in Ukraine and influence geopolitical narratives favorable to the Russian government,” FBI Director Christopher Wray said in a statement. https://www.nextgov.com/cybersecurity/2024/07/us-allies-take-down-kremlin-backed-ai-bot-farm/397912/
