  1. 5 days ago, Starmers own Justice Secretary said "Don’t turn a blind eye to problems with ECHR" So what does he do? Turn a blind eye of course. "The Justice Secretary replied: “I don’t think it’s a responsible attitude of the Government, and certainly not a Government that supports the convention and Human Rights Act and our human rights related arrangements in this country, to simply adopt a position of there’s nothing to see here and look the other way." “I think there is enough in some of the cases. They’re not all, sadly, completely spurious. Some do not always stand up to scrutiny when you get into the full facts, and they do raise questions over whether the law is working as it should.” https://archive.ph/Ko87g https://www.telegraph.co.uk/politics/2025/04/30/dont-turn-blind-eye-problems-echr-says-justice-secretary/
  2. Maybe they thought they'd all die before voting........ 44,000 Terminally Ill Pensioners Lose Winter Fuel Payment Under UK Government Changes https://www.mariecurie.org.uk/media/press-releases/44000-terminally-ill-pensioners-lose-winter-fuel-payment-under-uk-government-changes/385291 Probably one of the most callous policies ever enacted by a British Gov
  3. I see your advocating for discriminatory practices now. I wonder if that's why it was not done before?
  4. She was with the Ferrari FI team at the weekend watching the race in Miami
  5. I wondered why I keep seeing growing numbers of Chinese construction workers travelling in the backs of pick ups heading for illegal building sites in Phuket.
  6. History tells us that the number of people who have the courage to standup to or oppose brutal totalitarian regimes is very very small. Not the history in Gaza, you really don't know much about this war against terrorism do you Gaza: Hamas releases statement labelling the demonstrators “collaborators” and “traitors” Mass protests against Hamas in Gaza have entered their forth day, as demonstrators continue to voice their frustrations with the militant group. https://aseannow.com/topic/1356201-gaza-hamas-releases-statement-labelling-the-demonstrators-“collaborators”-and-“traitors” New massive anti-Hamas demonstrations in northern Gaza are demanding an end to the war that the terror group started. They want Hamas to step down and "get out" - Men, women, the elderly, children, and wounded folks came out, desperate to make their voices heard!
  7. Perhaps you missed the bit where Hamas refused to release the hostages and so have forced this on their own people and the only way now is for Israel to separate Hamas from the civilians so they can deal with them and eliminate them.
  8. Israel has stated an intent, because Hamas is illegally holding hostages. The war would stop today if Hamas released the hostages and laid down their arms. Calling for anything else is supporting a conditional release of the hostages. Which is exactly what the terrorists want.
  9. Tell you what, start a topic on the other 158 articles when Israel has actually implemented this plan and highlight which ones that are not being met. As for cherry picking, I am sticking to the OP.
  10. Yes and the bit you missed is highlighted for you................. The bit where they do not have to deliver that said aid because of it being diverted and why as the OP said they are making other arrangements. https://ihl-databases.icrc.org/en/ihl-treaties/gciv-1949/article-23
  11. Oh look, now attempting to cover up the facts from BBC Verify, can you provide a link to the claim that voluntary deportations have not been seen that high in 8 years?
  12. So Hamas never released the hostages after all. As for aid, check Article 23 of the Geneva Convention then read the OP.
  13. Oh dear, that's been fact checked, you better check BBC, one of the lefties favourite sources. The Home Office has also posted a video on X, showing people being escorted onto planes by immigration enforcement officials, with the words: "we have removed more than 24,000 people". But the claim is misleading. The government's latest figures show that only 6,339 of these were "enforced returns". The majority were "voluntary returns" - and a significant number of these happen without the government's direct involvement or even knowledge. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/clyw8jw11jwo
  14. Wow, did you even bother reading the OP before going into a fake rage? The survivors of of the rape gang abuse have severely criticized Lucy Powell for her highly disrespectable and insensitive comment, Lucy herself apologized and a few days ago even Jess Phillips had admitted there had been a “cover-up” for “multicultural reasons”. Your dismissal of the facts and defense of such remarks is truly abominable. Attempts like this to stifle debate on what really happened with accusations that they are playing politics is inflammatory and repugnant to the 1000's of victims of these Muslim rape gangs.
  15. Anyway, back to housing being one of the issues newly elected Reform Councilors will need to deal with. Do you think these newly elected Councilors will want to start on the actual wishes of the electorate that voted them in after Labour failed so badly at them? I'm sure you know what those wishes are right?
  16. Bunch of terrorists that need eliminating............. The Houthi slogan: “Death to America Death to Israel Curse be upon the Jews Victory to Islam” Please note the Jews got second billing The Sarkha (Arabic: الصرخة, lit. 'The scream / The collective outcry') is the political slogan of the Houthis, a Zaydi-Shia revivalist political and military organization in Yemen, that reads "God is the Greatest, Death to America, Death to Israel, Curse be upon the Jews, Victory to Islam" on a vertical banner of Arabic text. It is often printed on a white background, with the Islamic statements coloured green and the statements about the group's enemies appear in a red font resembling barbed wire.
  17. Hamas should have released the hostages, actually they should never have started this war. Cabinet-approved plans include ‘conquering Gaza and holding territories,’ official says The security cabinet last night unanimously approved the operational plan for the next phase of the campaign in the Gaza Strip, which would include the “conquering of Gaza and holding the territories,” says an Israeli official. The plan presented by IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir will see the IDF take control of territory in Gaza, move the civilian population toward the south, attack Hamas, and prevent the terror group from taking control of humanitarian aid. The security cabinet also approved overwhelmingly a plan to distribute humanitarian aid in Gaza “that would prevent Hamas from taking control of supplies and would destroy its governing capabilities.” https://www.timesofisrael.com/liveblog_entry/cabinet-approved-plans-include-conquering-gaza-and-holding-territories-official-says/
  18. Correction? Its well known The International Holocaust Remembrance Day, or the International Day in Memory of the Victims of the Holocaust, is an international memorial day on 27 January that commemorates the victims of the Holocaust, which resulted in the genocide of one-third of the Jewish people along with countless numbers of individuals of other minority groups, by Nazi Germany between 1933 and 1945: an attempt to implement its "Final Solution" to the Jewish question. 19. Sounds good, in the UK and many other countries we have a separate Remembrance day for that in November also known as poppy day. 2 mins silence observed for all who fell in all wars. On the second Sunday of each November, The King leads the nation in remembering those who have died in world wars and other conflicts. In a ceremony at the Cenotaph, the focal point of the nation's homage, Members of the Royal Family unite with others in thousands of similar ceremonies across the UK and worldwide in holding two minutes' of silence at 11am. https://www.royal.uk/remembrance-day
  20. PA leader Abbas: ‘Hamas-affiliated gangs primarily responsible’ for Gaza aid looting Statement says Palestinian people ‘will not forgive these disgraceful acts committed in such a critical time’ Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas on Friday issued a statement condemning Israel over its military offensive in the Gaza Strip, but also denouncing the enclave’s Hamas rulers for looting humanitarian aid. The statement posted to the PA’s official Wafa news agency said Abbas “expressed his categorical rejection and firm condemnation of the looting and theft carried out by criminal gangs targeting warehouses and storage facilities of humanitarian aid designated for the people of Gaza.” https://www.timesofisrael.com/pa-leader-abbas-hamas-affiliated-gangs-primarily-responsible-for-gaza-aid-looting/ United States and Israeli officials are discussing a mechanism to deliver aid to Gaza that bypasses Hamas, an Israeli source familiar with the matter and a State Department official told CNN. The official said an announcement could be made “in the coming days.” https://edition.cnn.com/2025/05/03/middleeast/israel-us-aid-talks-gaza-intl
  21. Interesting piece. Responding to the voices of women voters who helped elect her. Reform’s new MP: ‘We will stand up to sexual violence from illegal migrants’ Ms Pochin said that several women in Runcorn had visited her campaign office to discuss with her “how threatened they feel now walking home, how they don’t want to let their children of either sex, but particularly girls walk home from school.” The former magistrate of more than 20 years said that “law and order” would be a key concern of hers. She added: “The more HMOs we get with these legal immigrants in them, the more the threat of drug dealing goes on, the more the threat of grooming gangs starts. “It’s very very real, and anybody that, as I say, doesn’t agree with that is in utter denial.” https://archive.ph/kE7O4 https://www.telegraph.co.uk/politics/2025/05/03/reforms-new-woman-mp-we-will-stand-up-to-sexual-violence/
