  1. CFR now for Phuket is 0.71% which seems a little high considering the high vaccination rate, or perhaps another reason could be an under count in actual covid positive cases? More details on yesterdays stats here https://www.thephuketnews.com/phuket-marks-193-new-covid-cases-two-more-deaths-81523.php

  7. End of July over 1.5 million doses of Pfizer arrived from the US as part of its continued donations, did that take over a month also to complete the paperwork?
  8. Amazing Thailand they say, new high on the 24th, new low on the 25th. I see they're planning to give a 4th shot or second booster.
  9. A sad but good example of how not to conduct a responsible vaccine roll out, all for the sake of carrying out 1 million plus in a day when it would have been far safer spread over a couple of days and not end up with empty vaccine sites the following day. I remember when they first started the roll out in Phuket, there were a couple of sites that needed to be closed as they turned out to be spreader events and they were not even that bad.
  10. Yep, so just 108,480 yesterday according to this one, I really can't see the point of doing over a million one day only to the go all the way down to 100K+ the next, cancelling peoples appointments so they were re booked for the 24th, the chaos caused in some vaccine sites with huge queues and no social distancing. Thailand's Vaccine Tracker (Sept. 26, 2021) Saturday saw a dip in inoculations after the Mahidol Day surge. 31,352,795 (+40,659) people have received the first dose, while 17,667,069 (+67,821) have been fully inoculated. https://twitter.com/KhaosodEnglish/status/1442067236118614016
  11. Some creative accounting going on somewhere. Numbers just not adding up and no official updates
  12. According to this from the CCSA daily slides, only 112,215 vaccinations were administered yesterday. So you go from over a million one day to just over 100k the next? https://media.thaigov.go.th/uploads/public_img/source/260964.pdf
  13. #COVID19 #Thailand update on Sunday: 12,353 cases (+12 from abroad) 125 deaths (1.06% mortality rate) 122,463 patients in care 3,324 in ICU and 724 on ventilators 14,305 discharged from care https://twitter.com/RichardBarrow/status/1442031295756791808

In total, Japan has already granted 1.65m-dose vaccines to Thailand https://twitter.com/MFAThai/status/1442013977257512961
  17. Wonder when they'll need a 2nd booster after this experiment that goes against the manufactures and WHO's recommendation Phuket pushes intradermal vaccine jabs for third dose Phuket is accelerating the operation to administer the third Covid-19 vaccine jab using intradermal injection on citizens. Some 200,000 people are expected to be vaccinated by September-end. Dr Chalermpong Sukhonthaphon, the director of Vachira Phuket Hospital, said all vaccination centres in the province on Saturday had kicked off the vaccination operation by using only 60 per cent of total vaccination capacity. "Therefore, we have a plan to accelerate the vaccination in order to enable people in the province to receive their third jab as soon as possible," he said. https://www.nationthailand.com/in-focus/40006668
  18. The PPHO no longer issues an updated map showing the locations of COVID infections across the island. The most recent map was posted publicly on Sept 16. It was dated Sept 15 but marked as accurate as of 6pm on Sept 14, and was the first daily report to mark five COVID deaths on the one day. More details https://www.thephuketnews.com/phuket-marks-219-new-covid-cases-two-more-deaths-81517.php
  19. Ah so rantings about former predictions that you cannot evidence. The topic which I was responding to in your post
  20. More hearsay abounds, can you details those predictions to give a little perspective? Preferably with evidence not hearsay
  21. Phuket Opinion: Enough rope PHUKET: If anyone was still looking for evidence that the COVID infection figures provided by some officials in Phuket were not adding up, this past week – not once, but twice – they have had that evidence served to them on a plate. Plenty of suspicions about the veracity of the figures published each day in the daily COVID situation report for Phuket have been abound for a long time, yet this past week those suspicions were confirmed by none other than the official reports themselves. https://www.thephuketnews.com/phuket-opinion-enough-rope-81516.php
  22. The numbers just aren’t adding up, and yet it is not surprising anyone. All this harks back to “Patient 26” last year, for those Phuket readers who remember. https://www.thephuketnews.com/phuket-opinion-enough-rope-81516.php
  23. PCR test positive cases, total of 12,353 official new infections, with 532 of those from prison and 11,821 from the community. 125 official covid deaths recorded. Rapid tests positive cases, 1,759 bringing the unofficial total to 14,112 https://ddc.moph.go.th/covid19-dashboard/ Rolling 7 day average (up to 24th Sept) which includes prison cases and bar chart of community cases from daily official announcements. https://ourworldindata.org/coronavirus/country/thailand
  24. It was already clarified by the US, they sent the paperwork over a month ago, so this must be an explanation of the sheer incompetence of Thai officials to chase it up. Better than Anutins previous explanation that it was fake news I suppose. Lets hope this won't be the last free donation by the US as a result of this.
  25. The WHO is currently not recommending boosters because of vaccine inequality throughout the world, ie the available supply. Thailand regardless is doing this. Nothing whatsoever to do with WHO's advice on the method of vaccination as per the manufacturer. WHO's advice on actual administering the vaccines which is what this is actually about, you know, the topic of the thread, is for it to be given intramuscularly. As is the advice from AZ after its extensive trials throughout the world
