  1. We all know the vaccines do not prevent this but the whole point is that Sinovac is the least effective at preventing spread, thats why Phuket is already giving boosters and will be giving boosters to all those who received 2 shots of Sinovac. Nobody apart from the health authorities know the stats on vaccination status of those hospitalized or who have died. Maybe at some point they will decide that this vital piece of information is worthy to share with the general public.
  2. Plus Zero cases confirmed from ATK tests yesterday? Very strange
  3. Just when I thought we would have a gap of a few days another death brings it to 8 dead in just 3 days in Phuket, where the health authorities there said yesterday that Sinovac is not able to stop the spread there.
  4. PCR test positive cases, total of 13,821 official new infections, with 518 of those from prison and just 13,303 from the community. 241 official covid deaths recorded. Rapid tests positive cases, 1,112 bringing the unofficial total to 14,933 https://ddc.moph.go.th/covid19-dashboard/ 48,646 official pcr tests carried out yesterday. Rolling 7 day average (up to 5th Sept) which includes prison cases and bar chart of community cases from daily official announcements. https://ourworldindata.org/coronavirus/country/thailand
  5. Thank you for your view many points of which I share and others I disagree with, however my post was a simple statement based on 7 deaths in 2 days, never happened before and may just be coincidence without further info on whether they were or were not vaxxed or not. AZ by the way provides very good protection against Delta, the worry is Sinovac
  6. So it should be, it’s also the highest vaxxed province in Thailand that’s why I said it was worrying.
  7. I'm quite aware of that and when vaccination levels are up businesses and schools should open before opening to tourists the whole point of my post
  8. Flip flop already no surprise; logic must have caught up with them again Bangkok reopening plan delayed until most residents fully jabbed The plan to reopen Bangkok to fully vaccinated foreign tourists will likely be postponed by a month at least to ensure at least 70 per cent of people living in the capital and its adjacent provinces are fully jabbed first. Tourism and Sports Minister Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn said on Monday that the plan had been postponed from October 1, when Bangkok and four other provinces – Chiang Mai (Mueang, Mae Rim, Mae Taeng and Doi Tao), Prachuap Khiri Khan (Hua Hin), Phetchaburi (Cha-am) and Chonburi (Pattaya, Bang Lamung and Sattahip) – were scheduled to reopen. He said the country should be fully reopened by January 15 if at least 70 per cent of the population has been fully vaccinated by the end of this year. https://www.nationthailand.com/thai-destination/40005775
  9. Thailand to procure 200 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines next year Thailand’s Ministry of Public Health has announced plans to procure 200 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines next year, to prepare for more mutations of the deadly virus. Deputy Health Minister, Dr. Sathit Pitutecha was answering questions from the Senate regarding vaccine procurement plans, when he said the National Vaccine Institute and the ministry will procure at least 200 million doses in 2022 as booster doses, as they prepare for new developments of such vaccines and more mutations of the virus. At the moment, they are in talks to procure more AstraZeneca viral-vector vaccine, of which the second version is being developed. They are also in talks to procure Pfizer and Sputnik-V. https://www.thaipbsworld.com/thailand-to-procure-200-million-doses-of-covid-19-vaccines-next-year/
  10. Good maybe get back to the topic of my post which was to open all businesses and schools in Thailand first. Then open up to to international tourists
  11. Just don’t tell the Chinese, they get easily offended".......... Phuket sees a spike in cases but officials bullish on keeping sandbox model With the majority of cases identified as Delta variant, Chalermpong warned that two shots of vaccines for Phuket residents, mainly the Chinese-made Sinovac, could not help control the spread anymore and called for booster shots immediately. “The current vaccine has low efficacy in preventing the spread of the virus,” said Dr Kusak Kukiattikul, Phuket Provincial Public Health Doctor. https://www.thaienquirer.com/32263/phuket-sees-a-spike-in-cases-but-officials-bullish-on-keeping-sandbox-model/
  12. Nor is Liverpool, besides it’s not only Thai kids getting educated here, there are hundreds of international schools
  13. Exactly and before you do that make sure Thailand is safe enough to open entirely including all businesses and the schools where children and young people are missing their education
  14. Yea because domestic tourists pose less of a risk than international tourists, how? If it’s dropped for domestic it should also be dropped for sandbox.
  15. daily entertainment on its way then with Anutin back in charge soon
  16. What’s needed is a new order also withdrawing the same requirements for International tourists, what’s so different about domestics?
  17. Did you submit a peer review to the Lancet for this study to let them know their numbers are useless? Reading the real experts take none of them mentioned it.
  18. Not sure what points he’s trying to make but I do know this, since 1st April the Alpha and Delta wave have resulted in 13,042 deaths as apposed to the first wave original strain of just 94. That’s really all the matters.
  19. Delta has immune reducing capabilities for all current vaccines, together with its higher viral load and being more virulent. It is just being pedantic to claim its not more dangerous, it is far more dangerous that’s why the world has been suffering from it.
  20. Recovered Covid-19 patients urged to go for regular kidney checkups Patients who have been cured of Covid-19 should receive kidney checkups regularly, as they are at risk of their kidney losing efficiency, Dr Anutra Chittinandana, president of the Royal College of Physicians of Thailand, posted on his Facebook on Sunday. “A study published in the Journal of the American Society of Nephrology on kidney outcomes in long Covid-19 patients has compared 89,216 recovered Covid-19 patients with 1,637,467 people who have never been infected,” he said in the post. “After six months, the study found that the rates of Acute Kidney Injury, End Stage Kidney Disease and Major Adverse Kidney Events have increased among recovered Covid-19 patients, especially those who had been hospitalised and stayed in ICU. https://www.nationthailand.com/in-focus/40005762
  21. Do you have those stats? No so officially 7 deaths via covid in 2 days, simple enough for you.......
  22. You would need to ask the Phuket Health Dept that question, had any of the 27 who have died since 1st April been vaccinated? Information not revealed although they must know
  23. 7 covid deaths in 2 days is not something you want to see in the highest vaxxed Province in Thailand
  24. PCR test positive cases, total of 13,998 official new infections, with 444 of those from prison and just 13,544 from the community. 186 official covid deaths recorded. Lowest for weeks! Rapid tests positive cases, 2,404 bringing the unofficial total to15,948 pushing through the 20k mark once again! https://ddc.moph.go.th/covid19-dashboard/ 47,245 official pcr tests carried out yesterday. Rolling 7 day average (up to 4th Sept) which includes prison cases and bar chart of community cases from daily official announcements. https://ourworldindata.org/coronavirus/country/thailand
