As well they should be. I have heard similar stories from friends in CM, Nong Khai, Korat, CR. If it was my call they would not only get a ticket, they would have to attend a mandatory motorcycle safety class(24 hours in class) before return of motorcycle. If teenager mom and dad MUST attend also because they are the one standing around crying when the kid is in a serious accident. Oh well not my call just my little SOAP BOX.

Think of apply for a Thais resident visa. I know to apply cost about Bt7500(non refundable) and about 92,000 if approve, 100 per country(U.S. for me). Please advise of Good or Bad of having a resident visa. What are the chances of approval ??

Rain rain go away, not to worry it be pour down soon. My guess will get some heavy downpours mid Jan and early Feb. Would be surprise to see some light SNOW in the hill/mountain of Chaing Mai. Saw just that a some years ago, not much just enough to bring a smile to a snow lover face, kinda fun watching the Thai driver deal with it, thankful I only saw a couple of minor accidents. Things were back to normal within 3 hours or so.

AIG might be a good starting point. AIG General Insurance(Thailand) Limited. Customer Service: 02638-6200. I have been insured for seven years no problem with their service, however not sure if they would cover you in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodie. Could hurt give them a call for starter.

I will be in the area for a few days if time permit would love to join you all, however; not to familiar with Tuskers. My guess is any Tuk tuk driver worth his salt should know the place.

Yes it could happen here or anyplace for that matter, however I think it is less likely to happen here from what I have seen in Thailand road scene accident they will pick up any and all in some case fighting over would will take you to hospital. You may not get the best treatment until they are sure of your ability to pay, i.e., a rich well to do cousin showup or some family show proof of insurance.

You can buy a BP Monitor at almost any Pharmacy for about 2500 up. Indeed BP is something that you should monitor.

I don't use public computers very often, but on the occasions I do, I always clear cache of history/passwords etc. This is pretty standard practice as you don't really want other people finding your user names and anything else that could have been saved (sometimes done without thinking). Does this mean I could cost someone 500k
Or are they going to have something that blocks clearing cache. In which case don't really want to use.
Maybe I am wrong but I think this rule/law also apply to Private Computer(PC)????

Apparently half the men out there can't please a woman.
Half of the women would give up sex?? Cnn I think your survey is off the Mark because there are a lot of women out there just messing with your little survey. They just wanted to give the old MALE Ego a BAD STROKE :jerk: Lots of Naughty girls out there, shame on all of you. Hope Santa leave NOTHING under the tree for you all.

From what I have seen during my stay in Thailand, Thais people do not stand to the The National Anthem in side of a room accept at the movies or a special ceremony. I was in front of the public hospital on monday 8am few cars stop, about tens Thais stop after they saw me stop and standing as THEIR National Anthem was played. SAD : but true.

Best of my knowledge you must file a police report. Than take it with you to apply for a new Driver's License. No need for a letter from the Embassy(?) At least that was the case with my friend Randy in Chiang Rai, maybe the Big Mango have different rules.

With all the problems the Land of Smiles(LOS) has seen as of late it is STILL the best bargain in this South East Asia, no ifs and or buts" about it, just stop for a moment and think of the countries nearby, Viet-nam, Laos, Burma, Cambodia, China, India, yeah right. Who really want to spend a lot of time and money in these places, beside that fifteen day(??) or is it seven now, what ever a visa on arrival is a BIG OLD PLUS for the Land of Smile. Seven or fifteen days is plenty of time for the tourist to add a bit of cash to the Nation bank account.
