UK Breaking Barriers: Blaise Metreweli Becomes First Woman to Lead MI6
mikeymike100 replied to Social Media's topic in World News
MI6’s leadership, under Sir Richard Moore, explicitly aimed to diversify its senior ranks. The agency’s male-only leadership history (116 years without a female chief) prompted Moore’s 2023 pledge to avoid all-male shortlists. This aligns with DEI principles, which prioritize representation of underrepresented groups, in this case, women in high-level intelligence roles. The all-female shortlist was designed to level the playing field, given that women made up only 37% of MI6 staff in 2016, with even lower representation in senior roles. By 2025, MI6 aimed for 47% female staff quota, showing a structural effort to create equitable pathways. So you can see that MI6 was aiming for a 47% female staff QUOTA? So all this is evidence it was potentially a DEI appointment! -

You are correct about the ICC arrest warrant, but Israel is not an ICC member and rejects the court’s jurisdiction, and enforcement depends on ICC member states, making it unlikely Netanyahu will face arrest unless he travels to a signatory country. Yes, domestically, he’s indicted for corruption (bribery, fraud, breach of trust) in Israel since 2019, with the trial ongoing, but this doesn’t make him a “wanted man” in the same fugitive sense, as he’s actively defending the case while serving as prime minister. Agreed about the bombing of Iran, a very questionable thing to do. But I don't think it will speed up the Iranians making of bomb, as most of the sites making a bomb will be destroyed!

Israel is not an ICC member and rejects the court’s jurisdiction, and enforcement depends on ICC member states, making it unlikely Netanyahu will face arrest unless he travels to a signatory country. I don't believe our side is good ........etc AGREED. Ahmad al-Sharaa, Syria’s interim president, was not head of ISIS but a former al-Qaeda affiliate (al-Nusra/HTS) who fought U.S. forces in Iraq and led anti-Assad efforts. There’s no evidence he personally beheaded Americans, Trump met him in May 2025 to normalize relations and lift sanctions, but did not make him head of state—al-Sharaa assumed power independently. Israel has done some questionable things, I personally think bombing Iran was a bad idea, but you are missing the point, which is i was answering a post saying Israel was a terrorist state, I am pointing out no one has classified it as such!

You seem to have bit?? Wanted criminal??????Legally, Netanyahu is not a criminal as of now, as he’s neither convicted domestically nor by the ICC. Allegations exist, but no court has ruled against him. Yes, Israel has faced more UN resolutions than any other nation, including during periods under Netanyahu, that in itself does not make it a terrorist state? No country or major international organization, such as the United Nations, officially classifies Israel as a terrorist state. However, several countries and entities have accused Israel of engaging in state-sponsored terrorism or committing acts of state terrorism, particularly in relation to its actions in the Palestinian territories and conflicts like the Iran-Israel proxy war. These accusations do not equate to a formal designation as a "terrorist state" under international law, which is a term typically applied to countries like Iran, Syria, Cuba, and North Korea by the U.S. State Department for supporting terrorism.
-
Israel is not classified as a terrorist state because it is a recognized sovereign nation, a UN member since 1949, and its military actions, while controversial, are conducted under state authority and often framed as self-defense under international law (e.g., Article 51 of the UN Charter). No major international body, like the UN, ICC, or ICJ, has officially designated Israel as a terrorist state, despite criticisms of its actions in Gaza, the West Bank, or Iran. The term "terrorism" typically applies to non-state actors, and Israel’s operations, even if deemed excessive by critics, fall under state military conduct, not fitting the legal definition of terrorist.

This is going to upset a lot of people, the cops who turned a blind eye, the social services, the judiciary and CPS, even some politicians. All those found to be aiding the grooming gangs or rape gangs, need to be dealt with most severely! If found guilty.....prison!

The Army’s founding date (June 14, 1775) is a historical fact, and Trump’s birthday (June 14, 1946) is an unchangeable personal detail. Their alignment is inherently coincidental, as neither date was chosen with the other in mind.

Well considering the 'pride' parades in the US alone cost around $100 million, its not that bad, considering the pride parades were totally frivolous!

There is no direct evidence confirming whether Donald Trump was personally aware that pro-Trump merchandise was being sold by vendors, such as 365 Campaign, at the Fort Bragg event on June 10, 2025. The Army is reviewing how these vendors were permitted to sell items like "Make America Great Again" hats and other Trump-branded products, indicating the sales were organized independently of the event’s primary purpose, which was to commemorate the Army’s 250th birthday. Trump’s presence was as a guest, and no reports explicitly state he was informed of or involved in the vendor activities.
