  1. It seems clear that the reporters from CNN made a mistake coming into Thailand on tourists visas and then doing actual business/work. It also seems that the official who gave them permission to cross the line into the crime scene made a mistake. Its very unfortunate what happened but its been blown out of proportion, by the Thai press, net-citizens!
  2. "as far CNN newscasters they do a great job and they’re pretty unbiased and fair" Great absolutely love good sarcasm!????
  3. Quite so. However it turns out the cops who gave them permission did not have the authority to do so. Will they also get prosecuted for exceeding their authority?
  4. "Most of those punters who allege xenophobia here, continue to do the same against Russians, Indians, Chinese, or anybody else who does not belong to the clan!" I don't think its xenophobia, its just it seems there is preponderance of Indians who seem to get things stolen, or at least reported stolen and end up on AN. Certainly others may have stuff stolen that we don't hear about?
  5. Although you may be correct, I have drank beer in the back of a taxi and the driver couldn't care less. Lots of things are "illegal" in Thailand but the chances of anybody doing anything about it are zero.
  6. "Yes. Even as a Brit entering UK on a British passport ( I have no others) where it never works in the e gates I have been subject to several questions after revealing I am not resident in the UK." Surely if you have a British passport entering the UK, immigration cannot refuse you entry, Why would they ask any questions?
  7. Agree with what you say. Its difficult to understand when TAT are saying they need more tourists to come to Thailand and then on arrival you get the third degree?
  8. I never realized smuggling Pork and Chicken into Thailand was such big business? Its not like they don't have an ample supply locally, is it?????
  9. Well its called whiskey, but i believe its made from sugar cane, so its really rum?
