Fair question... why does the government cap the price of a product produce by private enterprises. They have supply costs and production/energy costs, all which have increased yet they are told they cannot pass these onto the consumer. A 14 year price freeze already... unbelievable. If the government are so worried about the effect on the poor consumer who usually buy noodles then why don't they keep the price the same on the shelf and subsidise 2 baht per pack to the producers, giving them 8 baht per pack? Maybe shelve the F-35 deal and use that money ?

Exactly what I was thinking... a private company held to ransom by the commerce ministry as to how much they can sell their product for. 14 years there has been no increase in sale price, yet in those same years the costs of materials and running costs have gone up. The company is expected to absorb these costs and loose profitability? Tell the commerce ministry, raise the price or we stop producing noodles and make something else or go bankrupt.
