Correct, but better employment conditions & treatment is easily found in many other countries... Thailand just happens to be easily entered and next door... but the shine wore off this year

After the way migrants have been treated over the last year I don't think those that managed to escape out of Thailand are desperate enough to come back... they will look for better employment options elsewhere where labour is needed.

They always were the Achilles heel, in my neck of the woods social distancing, face masks, cleanliness all went of of the window, the usual morning elbow to elbow madness to buy daily supplies continued unabated in the usual Thai style.

It was already happening before convenient Covid came along, but now it's virtually destroyed. Many countries are going to be luring tourists back with special deals... Thailand specialises in bureaucracy and red tape. It won't end well.

A year late but hey ho.... Thais are used to flexi-time.

People put up with Thailand before with all it's wrinkles... now with a mountain of paperwork and closed facilities there's no attraction.
