That may well be what the glossy Labour Ministry brochure says.. In reality thousands of workers do a 9-10-11 or even 12 hour day for a flat rate on minimum wage.

I gave up wit TOT's rubbish service and snail paced internet about 3 years ago, went with AiS fibre network.. cheaper per month and no issues with speed or service.

When banks won't lend to you because of low income or loan gaurantee issues what are they expected to do? they have to live.. people are forced to do what you call "stupid things" I guess you've never been broke?

The whole thing should change to a minimum hourly rate... anything over 8 hours per day is overtime. Night shift or shift work can be negotiated.

Reading the link I think he has a case to sue for financial losses from the bank who admit they lost his title deeds. An apology and sorry you have to fund everything yourself plus losses is not on.
