A very good friend many years ago had his demons catch up with him , 4 of us went overland , 15 countries in 15 weeks to Australia 1970.  Any problems on the way he kept his cool.   A year later end of 1971 he went to work , cleared everything on his desk left a note in his pocket for his folks , he also took a rope to work ,after saying goodbye left work drove to Epping Forest and hung himself. The date of his death could be wrong but the event never goes away.

Plus of course if you jump from the 11th or higher it gives one more time to consider ones future ie is it the correct thing to do.

I read it as he pulled right to overtake the bike and sidecar. I wonder if he was taking a nap and pulled over at the last second straight into the on coming pick-up. Is the relative in hospital waiting for them wondering how much longer they will be.

To be honest I haven't been to any tourist areas recently but for my own area (a main market town), I cannot recall seeing anyone outside without a mask on since the pandemic first kicked in.

The convenience stores and supermarkets here still have the temperature check at the doors and nothing has really changed from mid pandemic days.

 

Odd thing is supermarkets and 7/11s and everyone wears a mask , 3 local coffee shops and no one bothers to get masked up . I come out of Lotus'sss remove mask go for a coffee and mask stays in the Manbag.

I think you are right with Thais and rubbish.  I ride my bicycle through the rice fields most days and every time I do I see more bags of rubbish, they must just come along , open a window and chuck it out. There is a low bridge on the way and the locals meet there and leave their empties behind . After about 3 days the bottles have gone so someone must remove them unless they get chucked in the klong.

Surprise a few friends around the globe by paying an unannounced visit , 500,000B should do it.

The only reason I don't like shopee is like last night .  I am watching a film , I miss a bit as a cat wants to come in the door 7 floor tiles distance away. I go back to restart the film and oh hello shopee. Now the problem is likely the buffering as my internet provider goes home when it gets dark.  But if I look at viewed today I get ASEAN NOW shopee , film , shopee , E Mail , shopee.

I wish shopee would go shop somewhere else and never darken my monitor again !
