  1. Good for you, however, as I have stated in 2019 the fare on my route was at it's cheapest Bt750. Now at it's cheapest it's Bt1050.
  2. You think in dollars I think in Baht. I also think a 40% increase is A LOT.
  3. Early morning flight would be my guess. Later in the day and I'll bet it's up around the 1200 mark.
  4. Prices have been up in all seasons and on all routes not just high season tourist destinations. Up at least 40% since the end of covid.
  5. I remember one of these promotions not so long ago. 12% discount. Thing is the put the price up 12% and then discounted that price by 12%. 0% savings from the previous day's fare.
  6. Never flown BKK to CNX but as stated above I do know that fairs have gone UP on the route I fly. Pre covid cheapest was around Bt750. Now the cheapest is around Bt1050 going up to almost Bt1900. The cheapest now is around a 40% increase from pre covid and even during covid if I'm guessing right. That's a big increase in anyone's books.
  7. If anyone should pay (debatable) it should be the temples in Lopburi that harbor the monkey troops not the tax payer. Apart from that idiots feed them. They are monkeys. Wild animals.
  8. How's that then if all airlines are guilty of price gouging.
  9. No. Not the case. Prices are well up even with very early booking.
  10. Bt1200 that was Bt800 is the point.
  11. So that's 30-40% higher for the route I take. Costs have gone up that much for AirAsia or could it be that price gouging is indeed occurring?
  12. If you own a bar legally you are not allowed to serve a beer. Do you think this warrants deportation? Sorry but your post is just tripe.
  13. Thoust shall not criticise Thailand in any way. This will be deemed fake news and liable for prosecution under the Computer Crimes Act.
  14. Ah! The Thaiger or should I say their full title. The Thaiger Chat GDP. It is a good story though without the word salad. It certainly can be a small world.
  15. Always love a well educated comment on here. Keep up the good work.
  16. What's the blue thing on the chair between the women with ballons under their dresses? Really, there must be a better pic than this. Surely. Apart from this I have no problem with... These should be global rights. The problem is though this is Asia and Asia is a very sexist and racist place where exploitation and harassment is part of the culture, escpecially the Chinese culture. Oddly enough it's the Thai Chinese and Chinese who own practically all businesses.
  17. The headline is at odds with the article and is misleading. There is obviously a chance for charges to go up. Current price of electricity to be extended until August – Energy Minister
  18. "it’s between 10 and 140 times LESS LIKELY to catch fire than a legacy ICE car and much less likely to break down as it has 100 times less moving parts than an ICE car." So it's still likely to catch fire then. I would be hoping on the 140 times less rather than the 10 times less. Far better odds.
  19. I guess these days if you can afford to fly you can afford to be lavish. I'm guessing this article has more to do with the rich Chinese and Russians more than anyone else.
  20. You would think that if you're running a story about F35's landing in Thailand you would actually use pics of said F35's in the article. The linked article has 2 images of the F35's and one of an F16 which aseannow has run with. This is an F16.
  21. The majority of people voted for those not in govt.
  22. Profits before people. Trickle down effect is a load of BS so please don't use this in retort. Globally a small minority are getting very rich whist the vast majority are getting poorer. This sham non-elected govt is jam pack full of business people. No way will profits be cut into to help the worker. Oh no. Money must be spent on HUBS and capital works which puts money into their mates pockets and their own pockets. Spending your way out is Keynsian economics but it doesn't work when only the big boys benefit from such spending.
