Royal approval of Thailand’s new Cabinet granted
dinsdale replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
The May election achieved absolutely nothing. The people voted for change and their voice was ignored, denied and usurped by the junta/elite. Everyone who voted for change has been betrayed. The biggest betrayer is PT. They went to bed with the enemy to get Thaksin back. This will backfire on the party big time. Sadly the opportunity for Thailand to advance as a country has been denied by a minority who's interests this would not advance. -
PT supporters know they are traitors. They have gone to sleep in the same bed their support base hates. They are now the 3rd uncle.

Yep. But I hope your post remains. Previously this is against freedom of speech the rules on this forum. We'll probabably both disappear. My post certainly will. Bye.

Thaksin: Former Thai PM's prison sentence reduced to a year
dinsdale replied to Social Media's topic in Thailand News
It will not be a year and it will not be jail. Deal has now been done. There will be no change to 112 and a new constitution will be put off for as long as possible.- 216 replies

Thaksin submits application for royal clemency
dinsdale replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
The plan is moving along. The only hiccup was Pita and MFP and they have been dealt with albeit meaning PT jumped into bed with their enemies.- 217 replies

Two cases of new COVID Omicron sub-variant reported in Thailand
dinsdale replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Immune escape is likely but that's been the case and will continue to be the case. As for the mutations I've seen that it is only on the spike protien. Will this one become the dominat sub-variant or not only time will tell. Other sub-variants have come and gone pretty much in a blink of an eye never gaining dominance. -

I haven't had a jab since oct 2021 and do not intend to be jabbed again. As for maks I have recently been on a plane. No mask. Been to immigration. No mask. Been to a medical clinic. No mask. Been to the bank. No mask etc etc. Oh! Forgot to mention been to Laos and nobody was wearing a mask. -
Two cases of new COVID Omicron sub-variant reported in Thailand
dinsdale replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Just another Omicron sub-variant. Very few cases globably. Yes it has subtatial spike protien mutations but every sub-variant has mutations that's why they're called sub-variants. Can you explain to us why this "may be" of concern? -
Two cases of new COVID Omicron sub-variant reported in Thailand
dinsdale replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Well it's been a while. Time for the next article recommending getting jabbed. This variant is just another Omicron variant so you would expect similar symtoms i.e. symptoms akin to the common cold. This thing will probablly go on for decades continuing to mutate or until it mutates to a point it is no longer highly transmissible and dies out. Some of the most vulnerable will succumb but the vast majority who get infected will recover with a % not even knowing they've had it i.e. asymptomatic. -
Nearly 18 million tourists make waves in Thailand this year
dinsdale replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Good point but nevertheless it's still a good indicator. I'd be interested to know what % of tourists overall use AirBnB and villas. I'm guessing that % would be quite high amongst the Russians. -
The coup has already happened. It's called a soft coup. The change people voted for has been usurped. Democracy has been stifled by the military elites and with them in the same bed PT.

The days of military coups in Thailand are gone : Sutin
dinsdale replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
It won't be long. After the next election I would think when MFP gains an absolute majority and can form a govt in it's own right. PT will be decimated, the military elites have already been decimated and the only way they can keep power is by a coup. Thailand is not a democratic country and never will be as long as certain powers hold the reigns.- 70 replies

How can you possibly say this after what has happened. The voting public elected MFP. MFP have the largest amount of seats in the Housre of Reps than any other single party. The people voted and MFP came out on top. The people wanted change and wanted Pita as PM. 250 senators, the EC and the CC all constructs of Prayuts junta usurped the people's voice. Maybe you can explain how this is a major move toward democracy.

Phichit is last minute addition to Srettha’s cabinet
dinsdale replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Well that makes two jail birds in the cabinet. Thamanat Prompow being the other. 4 yrs in an Aussie prison (sentence was 6 yrs.) for conspiring to import heroin into Australia. Obviously not as serious as having a miniscule amount of shares in a non-functioning media business.- 16 replies

This is sarcasim isn't it? I hope so otherwise I feel you may be deluded. Money for major projects yes. Money for people not so much. Kickbacks for the major projects would have been huge. He's as corrupt as the day is long.

Nearly 18 million tourists make waves in Thailand this year
dinsdale replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
There are "visitors" and there are "tourists". How many "visitors" are coming here to work. How about some figures (not inflated) on hotel occupancy. More rubbery figures from the propoganda 101 book. -
