  1. For future reference: A monopoly market is where there [is] one seller and a large number of buyers. A duopoly market is where there are two sellers and a large number of buyers ..... . An oligopoly market is where there are [a] few sellers and a large number of buyers. https://data-flair.training/blogs/market-structure/ The beer market in Thailand is therefore an oligopoly.
  2. Yep. If his paid off cronies get him back in the chances of seeing this again are high.
  3. Thai beers also use rice and not wanting to be picky but it's an oligopoly not a duopoly as there are 3 companies. Use to be two. Thai Asia Pacific Breweries was registered in 1993 and began operations in 1995. Doesn't really matter if it's 2 or 3 they control the market, the control govt decisions in regards to maintaining control and all 3 produce cat's piss.
  4. Did you ask? Maybe they were out of stock. I'm not sure if individual managers have a choice or maybe it wasn't selling so they pulled it from that store. Might be worth another look?
  5. Then he'll stage a coup against himself. Is that even possible?
  6. Cj More (previously Cj Express). If you've got one of these in town they sell it. Bt58 I think. This group is reasonably new to Issan. I would check google maps as there might be one in your neibourhood. I think Tops also sell it.
  7. Not yet but that's because it's still the hot season. We'll have to wait and see how much wet we get when the season arrives.
  8. I like Lao Dark but it's around the Bt60 mark for a small bottle. I can easily down 2 rather rapidly but not something I can afford to buy all the time. It's an oligopoly and that's the way they want to keep it. Must be hundreds of breweries/micro breweries in Australia with thousands of labels.
  9. Is freedom of speach on any of the parties platforms and exactly who is it that determines what is and isn't misinformation? Will the word corruption now show up on their algorithm and be flagged as misinformation?
  10. This means 93% of all Thai beer is rubbish. No argument from me. Anything half decent in the other 7% is expensive.
  11. I find it interesting that in this 'energy crisis' energy companies are making their biggest profits ever.
  12. Well Mr. confused emoji is back. Sorry you're confused about this post which shows, to me at least, that this is a pretty sophisticated piece of training equipment and my post was in respone to a poster saying it doesn't look sophisticated and the mighty USA can do better. Maybe you're less confused now or is the confused emoji the only one you use? As for the purchase maybe the US one is better but also a lot more expensive and this is why the RTN went with the Australian one. https://www.bizjournals.com/sacramento/inno/stories/news/2022/09/08/drone-manufacturer-kratos-navy-contract.html

  14. It's going to be intertesting but as I have said before 250 lackeys in the senate and always sitting in the wings the military. I can't shake the feeling that troubled times lie ahead.
  15. Interesting. If this happens then the likelihood of changing the rules governing the appointment of 250 senators is unlikely to change. Guess we'll have to wait and see what daddy says.
  16. Fair enough but surely the parties policies are among the reasons he's looking like the people's favourite for PM.
  17. Pita tops this poll because the party is seen as progressive. People want change especially the youth. Their platform is publically available and openly discussed. What changes they want is why Pita is topping the poll for PM in Thailand. Change is wanted especially by the youth but will it be stopped by those who want the status quo? Only the future will tell.
  18. Prayut would have absolutely everyone working on how to get rid of him without actually taking him out.
  19. Indeed. The article states "looks like..." There's a big difference between is and looks like. Just amatuers posing as journos. Bit like this headline from Monday. Paetongtarn Shinawatra gives birth to her first child It's her second child. How, just how, can you get this wrong.
  20. I like your intent but honest and competent in Thailand?
  21. Was the potassium cyanide found in tea bags as the headline states? This is a Yes/No question. You're answer then is either yes or no. I will restate the question. Was the potassium cyanide found in tea bags? Potassium Cyanide In 3 Tea Bags Found In Suspect’s Car
  22. Headline Potassium Cyanide In 3 Tea Bags Found In Suspect’s Car: Academic Reality "three sachets that look like tea bags"
  23. The only possible majority govt. will be Phue Thai. No one else can get 50%+1 with a majority of seats. This of course does not mean this bloke will not retain power by any means possible. Interesting times lay ahead.
