  1. This is the narrative I speak about. Big pharma and the CDC will agree with your comment without doubt. Do you not find it significant that AZ and J&J have been removed from major markets? As for your 99% that still means >100 million adverse events with over 10 billion shots being administered. I guess this no longer becomes "meaningless". Slowly but surely your accepentence of the narritive will be shown to be misguided. The truth is coming out, even in the access media. This is an interesting start from access media in the US with hopefully more to come. https://www.nytimes.com/2024/05/03/health/covid-vaccines-side-effects.html
  2. Very little chance of dying from covid these days.
  3. Agree. The junta's constitution was a complete fix with questions that could only lead to the extension of power for the military elite. Wasn't it also re-written to guarantee this? Might be wrong but that's the way I remember it. Loaded questions.
  4. Thailand missed it's biggest opportunity ever when PTP jumped into bed with the Junta denying the rightful victors of the last election their right to lead the country.
  5. Sisaket is the poorest province in Thailand. It needs more than a trickle of tourism.
  6. Yep. Average max for April Meuang Chiang Mai was 39.4°C. Interestingly the average max for April 5 years ago, 2019, was 39.6°C. https://www.wunderground.com/history/monthly/th/mueang-chiang-mai/VTCC/date/2024-4 https://www.wunderground.com/history/monthly/th/mueang-chiang-mai/VTCC/date/2019-4 Note average daily temp is up by only 1.38°C.
  7. Being that your talking °F I'd like to know where it only got up to the mid 80's or around 30°C. Try 105°F or 41°C +. Even the daily average for the month for Bangkok was 33°C or 91°F.
  8. Difference this year was that it was very hot everyday. Didn't go under 38°C max for the entire month.
  9. As I've said many times before reforming 112 so as to deweaponise a totally anachronistic law is not a move to overthrow the Constitutional Monarchy. Having said this the decision has already been ordered.
  10. This from what everyone knows to be a completely corrupt arm of the junta that has kept any opposition to the status quo of the military elite in power as will this joke of a psuedo election of a partly new Senate.
  11. e.g. "You want boom boom mister?" Bit harsh really. The better English speakers are the girls etc that work the bars.
  12. I wonder what indoor activities exactly?
  13. Way above Chula according to https://www.timeshighereducation.com/world-university-rankings/2024/world-ranking#!/length/25/locations/THA/sort_by/rank/sort_order/asc/cols/stats Chula is in the 601-801 range and the university I went to is in the 301-350 range. I did find this article from 2016. Flinders celebrates 50 years with world Top 50 spot "Flinders has climbed 31 places from 77th in 2015 to 46th in 2016" https://news.flinders.edu.au/blog/2016/04/07/flinders-celebrates-50-years-with-world-top-50-spot/ https://www.timeshighereducation.com/world-university-rankings/2016/young-university-rankings?page=1# Now why don't you tell us all about your university's ranking assuming you graduated from one?
  14. Heinous crime. I do wonder, however, if BKK is the end point or whether there is another final destination.
  15. Thailand: Not the Hub of Higher Education
  16. TIT. You can only see from behind. You might get a surprise.
  17. The image is actually not representative of sex workers in Thailand. Tourist areas are only a small % of the overall number. I also question the validity of these numbers. IMHO it would be a lot higher.
  18. Sorry but it's a stupid world full of stupid people. Is it part of a plan to completely dumb down people? I notice that AseanNow now has a TikTok account. Just sayin'.
  19. If you're going to say I said someting please quote me. Where did I say: ".... people who already have travel insurance should be exempt,"? Please do not misrepresent what posters have posted.
  20. Monetarily compelled would be my guess. Probably already handed over a pretty penny.
  21. Still does but it's a departure tax. Might be wrong but as far as I know all airports have this on departure from the country.
  22. Part of this tax is about insurance. Why would a Thai flying out of Thailand have to pay this? Indeed why should anyone flying out of Thailand have to pay this?
  23. Thank you for adding to the conversation although it would seem you have missed the point. A) It's a tax. B) Is it a valid tax? C) How will it be implemented?
  24. As said before the airlines said NO last time. Do you think anything has changed? What about land border crossings? What about Thai nationals? What about people with work permits? What about people who have insurance already? I'm sure this list can be expanded. Are the airlines meant to sort this out? Simplistic, poorly thought out policies often have very complex implemenations. This is one of them and to say just add it to the ticket obviously is too simplistic. That's why it didn't happen before.
