  1. It's not a narcotic. Never was, isn't now and never will be. It is only deemed so by legal misclassification.
  2. You seem like a very nice person. Glad I don't know you.
  3. You seemed to have missed my point. Genuine wheelchair bound people cannot walk. Hence "wheelchair walkway" is rather ironic. As for sidewalks/pavements/footpaths they are exactly what you would expect in a developing/third world country.
  4. I think it's more likely that Thaksin saw a role for Srettha. Srettha is indebted to Thaksin. Best to remember who is the puppeteer and who is the puppet.
  5. Today I plummeted down one stair.
  6. And that is exactly why the winner of the election did not win. The minority corrupt/elitist/royalist/conservative religious are soles will continue to protect themselves and their fortunes by whatever means.
  7. Indeed a condo you can purchase or rent. An apartment is rent. Are you saying if you own the condo (room) you pay standard electriciry charge?
  8. The anti corruption committee which is in and of itself corrupt. Everyone with power is corrupt from those who cannot be mentioned, to politicians, to school directors, to immigration and police, to company directors, to local autorities, to doctors, to ........................................... . It's an endless list which covers the entirety of Thai society and the entirety of Thai society knows this.
  9. Yep. Seems the other part of the coalition i.e. the military are protected.
  10. Start at the top and work your way down. Corruption will be found. The higher up the ladder the more money they make. Everyone in Thailand knows this.
  11. Crackdown on influential figures to start with the Senate. Mmmm? I think this would be much better but the result would be the same. This is just hot air.
  12. A rented property i.e house/townhouse is not the same as a condo or apartment. I have paid normal rates in houses/townhouses.
  13. Fair enough. I reckon you are very lucky then. It's never been the case for me or anyone else I've known. You are the 1st of heard of.
  14. I am now paying Bt7 (was Bt5 but they hiked it in June). Last apartment Bt9. You say never the case well I'm saying it is because this is what I now pay. Bt7. I have a mate in BKK that has a condo. Bt21. You say never the case then prove it. I can prove I'm paying Bt7.
  15. It works like this. Many Thais think we are all stupid. I have many examples like yours. One and not related to a single example is going to a small food shop where the food is good and you get quite a bit. Then the portion gets smaller. Then the price goes up. Then I never go back. They lose. Stupid people.
  16. Interesting. Maybe some others on here can tell us if this is the case for them. I've been here 20 odd years and stayed in several apartments. Never the case. Always above the basic price.
  17. Corruption is endemic here. Thailand is corrupt top to bottom. It's a way of life for those who have the power to be corrupt and hated albeit accepted by those who don't i.e. the majority.
  18. Interesting. Taking the enemy you got into bed with to the heart of your puppeteers homeland. I'm sure lots of paid off suppoters will come out to greet you and your mates. Traitor to the people of Thailand.
  19. Owners will charge what they like. As I said I don't know the number of rooms. Feel free to search for this yourself. Guaranteed as I said the price per unit will not be decreased for people in apartments/condos. This reduction in electricity cost per unit will be a profit for the already super rich owners.
  20. Good ol' Thaksin populist policies. The puppeteer and the puppet.
  21. A quick reminder that Thailand is all but a 3rd world country. Criminals are in this country from top to bottom. There are much, much bigger players than what this article is focussing on.
  22. The CC has been directed to dismiss. The alternative would be massive street protests which would put PT at risk. Another coup and PT are finished. I expect if the nxt election is free and fair ???? PT will be gone anyway. ".... deemed as an attempt to overthrow the democratic system." The lack of a democratic system is why MFP are not in government.
