  1. If you’re not able to get to YOK in Chiang Mai, there are plenty of sellers of Dairy Rich Milk Powder on Lazada.
  2. A significant aspect of what occurred with Wise last week wasn’t just the unpredictable delays, but the “not knowing what was going on”. Anyhow things now seem OK and this thread ought to be closed.
  3. There’s a whole recent thread on this:
  4. The delay I experienced last week was from my Wise account to my Thai bank a/c. Safest thing is to maintain a balance in one’s Thai account so this type of grief can be avoided. Maybe not always possible though. Wise haven’t owned up to what occurred last week but coincidentally there had been similar glitches earlier in May which they did own up to: https://status.wise.com/
  5. If the Tories are re-elected they plan to introduce The Fraud Bill and part of that is to act on what you’re talking about.
  6. In the 6 years I’ve used Wise, transfers have taken seconds: either with their extracting funds from my UK a/c or them transferring money to my Thai bank - until now. 😞 Whatever, we’re seeing a number of people on here experiencing delays.
  7. I too have experienced delay with Wise this week. A Wise a/c transfer to my Thai bank took 48 hours rather than the seconds Wise had indicated. No notifications nor explanations appeared anywhere while I waited and occasionally checked progress. An e-mail received from Wise after the deposit finally arrived (6 hours from the time they’d ultimately sent it) said ‘sorry it took longer than expected’. Something certainly seems wrong. Hopefully they’re not going the way of XendPay, although Wise appears substantially underpinned financially in comparison.
  8. Maybe if it’s millions of bucks involved, not a few thousand dollars, Euros, £’s or baht from a minority of punters worldwide
  9. This isn’t 3rd party info, these 2 situations are genuine.
  10. It’s not. I know 2 Brits here in Isaan who were caught and are having to repay overpayment. Worse is that they’ve had their pensions revert to the amount they received when they moved to Thailand.
  11. The farang involved appears to be 40/50 years old.
  12. Hear hear.
  13. Isn’t that more of a South Korean thing?
  14. There was a thread on this a few months ago. On 2/19/2024 at 1:37 PM, kingstonkidsaid: Does anyone have one? I am wondering what the electric bill is like and how long the average battery charge is? My reply on the same thread: “Mine, an electric 3-wheel, is economical to run. Charging via a separate charger takes from 6 to 13 hours depending on how low the lead-acid battery is. Electric bill is minimal. It’s top speed is 48kph and range on a full charge is 45 kilometers”.
  15. That’s right. Thankfully, this bitter attitude, evident lack of knowledge and his sour opinions aren’t shared by the majority here. ————————————————— HugoFastor’s posts (which are neither pro nor anti-Trink) bring back memories of long lost, hugely enjoyable days in BKK 🙂
  16. Last year in another guise you said you were 57.
  17. OP’s a new member, first post. He’s blocked any views of his profile. Don’t feed the troll!
  18. OK. Good luck with whatever you finally choose to do.
  19. Can’t advise on installation of the flashing lights, sorry. I bought it at an independent store on the ground floor of Big C in Nittayo Road, Udon Thani. I had looked elsewhere but this particular shop stocked a very good selection of trikes. There were 3 versions of the X6-3: 500w, 600w plus the version I bought, 700w. It has 3 forward gears and reverse, disc brakes, full set of lights, and indicators, built in alarm and masses of storage space. The 600w version @ 16,900฿ was attractive but on the day I went to buy, the more potent-looking 700w had appeared. I was able to test both models and the 700w had a more comfortable seat (the 600w sloped back), which was wider and upright. Important for me. In 1st gear it reaches 28kph (17.4mph), in 2nd 38kph (23.6mph), and in 3rd 48kph (29.8mph). It’s a great vehicle, I looked around for a year before finding this one. I too am in my seventies (mid).
  20. It’s a Lion X6-3, cost 19,900฿. It already comes with factory fitted LED lights and they can be switched on anytime. The headlight, however, will also be on. I too have back trouble and am very grateful for this set of wheels.

  22. Definitely Nong Khai over Udon anyday in my opinion, but pricing can be higher there in some instances.
  23. Sick stuff :(
