Thai woman loses 100,000 baht to online dating scam
Pouatchee replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
@ezzra should know... he got scammed by a Thai guy who borrowed money and wanted to pay him back with a 300 000bht kilo of top shelf weed. Heed your words man. BTW did you ever take up your friend on his generous offer? -
I keep saying it, Chuwit and Thaksin combined against weed will bring down a firestorm on those who tried to follow the law and registered for growing weed legitimately. Somehow it seems like these two are colluding in an inconspicuous way and I wouldn't be surprised if many of the denunciations made by Chuwit were orchestrated by both him and Thaksin. Remember, Thaksin was ranked fairly high up in the RTP before going into politics and trade. Interestingly enough most of Chuwit's rants were about the police before he moved on to marijuana. Who better to leak information to Chuwit about the police than a billionaire who can buy the information from disgruntled old friends who are still on the force? It would be interesting to see what was the relationship between those who got denounced for corruption and Thaksin. Chuwit is a populist and he is playing along with Thaksin's populist ideology and it is winning. I can't foresee any good coming from this coming election as everything seems in tatters right now. The red shirts are coming... the red shirts are coming.... ????

I can't consume anymore, so a little less to worry about. A few months ago, before Chuwit's rage rant on weed and the ominous chances the Pheu Thai might actually win, my wife registered to grow weed. Thaksin and his team are renowned to be anti anything that doesn't profit him and his team and Pheu Thai made it clear they will fight to get rid of the liberalisation of weed. My querry is this. What are the chances that Pheu Thai actually uses the lists of people who registered to help them wage a dirty handed war on drugs? Remember when something is the law... it is the law. All they need to do is make a few changes here and there and honest people will be outlaws.

Prayut Warns Pheu Thai Might ‘Slide Off Course’
Pouatchee replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
PT actually scares the Hell out of me. If they win they will have access to all the names of people who registered to grow and sell weed. With their intent of waging war on the new freedom of weed I feel they will make use of these lists to hunt down anyone who actually signed up to try to be in line with the law. Taksin had people suspected of drug dealing shot without any due process and his then Gestapo police were more than happy to put their guns to use. What makes anyone think things will be any better. I really don't like junta's nor political coups, nor the current PM. But, honestly who did this buffoon have shot? -
Ford Ranger drivers are the latest dick drivers

Nahhhh.... Nothing beats the Isuzu drivers. Not by a long shot. But I agree second place to the Ragers and 3rd place to the unFortuners -
Check your 20 baht Thai bills! You may be sitting on extra cash
Pouatchee replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I keep reading this article and I am still confused by the picture with the X and checkmark. I don't have a new bill to look at and compare, but the article should be clear enough so that even a duffus like me can figure it out. So, which bill is all the fuss over? The one with the X or checkmark? -
Never knew you could Just overcame pneumonia a week ago. Fever of 39 and 2 weeks in a Thai government hospital. Worst I ever felt and also the longest I ever felt this bad. Coughing blood and shivers if I wasn't in a blanket. My doctor is sending me for a vaccine to help against pneumonia (don't know the name) but I can't get it yet cos I need to wait a bit before. @simon43 if you can find a gvt hospital like I have in the boonies with private rooms then you are all set almost no matter what befalls you. About 3000bht a night if you don't have gvt social security. I do so it was only 600 bht a night. Only drawback is you need someone with you in your room 24/7. For the first few days I was in general population. Terrible experience. Stupid inconsiderate dorm mates listening to their phones full volume with no bluetooth headset. Nurses did little to ask them to put the volume down. I hear about the people back home in Canada waiting up to 48 hours in emergency rooms for treatment. It took only 8 hours for me to be seen and start being treated. That is a definite plus as to why Thailand is better than back home. I am a regular at my gvt hospital and people almost know me by name in every department... lol... but overall I get really good treatment here. This week I am getting fully anesthetized for an MRI scan because I have claustrophobia, and this whole process only took a couple days to get rolling. Back home I fear to guess how many months before I could even get an appointment for an MRI. For me, no brainer. Thailand is the place to be as long as you have the means to cover the hospital bills. Good luck dude.

TAT Expects Lively Songkran Festival This Year

God forbid. -
With that attitude towards man's best friend you might be better off with a goat. Or, maybe a monitor lizard. I doubt that with your attitude any dog would want to jump on the sofa with you... you really don't strike me as a dog lover.

555 Newfoundlanders 1st time I ever saw anyone use the term here. Ya got any other good newfie jokes? -One day a newfie goes to a carpenter and asks how much it would cost to build a wooden crate that is 1 inch tall, 1 inch wide, and 50 feet long. When the carpenter asks what he needs it for, the newfie replies, "The wife snapped her clothesline the other day, and I have to send it to Toronto to get it fixed." https://www.vice.com/en/article/avjxj5/10-newfie-jokes

What he said! I use a lot of electricity in my house. 2 fridges, a freezer, a fish pond, fans on all day, ac on all night, 52 inch led on almost all day, washing machine twice a day everyday and my bill is around 3.400 bht a month. The extra price you pay for electricity could be spent on a small house where your landlord won't fleece you for your electricity.

Geez... so much bad advice here. I can't remember the title of the report, but a few years ago there was such a story on here reported by TV that a man in the same situation took his wife to court over the ownership of the car and house. The judge gave the man access to 1/2 of everything and the ex had to pay up. As much as I hate the way we are treated here sometimes the law does prevail. So, dude, lawyer up and go for 1/2 of everything. It is your due and it is your right. If you don't fight you will surely lose. Putting up a good fight and not winning doesn't mean you lost... sometimes the dice don't roll our way. But if you don't try you will never know.

Teacher attacks primary students - investigative committee set up
Pouatchee replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
Real tough guy? When you show them who's the boss and then go to jail for being such a great father who's gonna teach your kids by example? Are your kids model students? Are you an exemplary father?
