I just love reading these articles. I learn something new every day. A crowing moment? What the heck is that? I always thought it was a crowning moment... oops better be careful some overly sensitive moderator might come along and ditch points on my community reputation, or block me for 10 days... as if I care

How much do the average Thai person earn ?
Pouatchee replied to Baron Samedi's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Only reason you are getting smiles is cos people can't post CONFUSED anymore. The salaries you state are hardly close to what the actual salaries are. I would like to know what jobs these guys are doing, cos even back home those are mighty fine salaries. I think you are just trying to be inflammatory, or your head is up in the clouds somewhere. Even in BKK these are still not average salaries.???? -
You can't insure wood houses like back home. definitely something to consider. I am finalizing my house, Pilons, bricks, sandwich tin roof and as little wood as possible. The house I am renting now is crumbling apart due to termites. Le look du bois est peut-etre beau, mais ca vaut pas la peine ici en thailande mon pot... ; )

Should get your facts straight. You can choose 3 government hospitals. Not private hospitals, The op you quoted mentioned that Paolo hospital is private and not cheap. I can't say whether this hospital is private or not because I don't know this hospital. But I do know 'Pagan Sangkom' which is the social security you are referring to. They only cover government hospitals and that is a fact I am positive of.

I just can't feel anything for this guy. Strap your boots on and get on with it. Party for 10 weeks and now wants pity. It sucks to be him, but it is not really news worthy IMHO.- 251 replies

4 million reasons to believe Thailand has a problem with illegal guns
Pouatchee replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
The revolvers are what composes most of the black market sales. About the barrels... do you think the Thai that buys an illegal gun would even know he/she can interchange it? -

Hi, where did you purchase your system. I am currently building a house and have been looking for a system like yours but it is quite difficult to find. -
4 million reasons to believe Thailand has a problem with illegal guns
Pouatchee replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Owning an unregistered gun is insane anywhere you live. The chances that the gun was involved in a crime are quite high. If the gun is tracked balistically and you are caught with it then it is likely you will be accused of the crime it was used for, even if you did not commit it.- 64 replies

The police should actually know the laws they are supposed to enforce. These guys got a free pass at exam time. Most of them don't know what the laws are.

House Committee Reveals Key Cannabis & Hemp Bill Features
Pouatchee replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
So far this looks like a step in the right direction. Just wondering about the level of THC allowed though. In my opinion, sending people to jail for simple possession, or growing their own supply is wrong any way you slice it. -
No Problems from Cannabis Legalization: Health Minister
Pouatchee replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
My thoughts exactly... what an enlightened spirit you are.???? Just wish more would see eye to eye with this. In America it costs millions every year to lock up people for simple possession. Shame on them for ruining so many lives. -
Got another message from paypal This user agreement is a contract between you and PayPal (Thailand) Limited ("PayPal"), a Thai company governing your use of your PayPal account and the PayPal services. If you are a business, the business must be organized in, operating in, or a resident of Thailand to open a PayPal account and use the PayPal services. If you are an individual, you must be a resident of Thailand and at least 20 years old. I don't know... but I am not a Thai citizen but I am a resident. Has anything changed? I also read something about they are going to do something about trying to use Singapore as a by pass ... maybe but I can't find that anymore...
