  1. And you... seems like anyways
  2. Get a life little man. Can't take criticism? Did you hit the dog today... make ya feel better?
  3. I agreed with you until I got to this part... You are overly sensitive and shouldn't give a rat's ___ if people disagree with you.
  4. As the price of fuel goes down the Bht goes up. Fuel prices have been going down so has my country's currency. Fuel prices go up, so does my buck.

    Eye Test.

I do business at Queen Sirikit hospital. I had cataract surgery, laser surgery for torn retina and tests for glaucoma. Excellent doctor, excellent service and dirt cheap. But... expect to spend all day there if you are patient enough to get great service for a good price, it is after all a government hospital. If just for glasses THL at Terminal 21. Great service there too
  6. Most likely the kids are dual citizens learning on their expat passport. The rules are the rules and international accreditation requires 70% expat students. How does Harrow get around that? Ask them see what they say....I surely would like to know.
  7. Better at tackling fish than human trafficking.
  8. I have trie and tried to find shops that do this. Even if the DIY videos on youtube look easy enough... no one in Thailand,as far as I can tell, does this anymore. A techie at Amorn told me they stopped doing it a while back.
  9. Hardware House beats them all. Do Home secondbest Thaiwstsadu and Mega Home tie for 3rd place Global 4th
  10. You get what you pay for. This school is likely a 4th tier inyernational school if you need to deal with a majority of Thai parents. The standard for a school to be able to maintain an International classification is it must have 70% of the students must be from an international homeland. Too many schools now call themselves international and they usually get away with it until the MOE goes and gives it accreditation... then, the school often changes its name to something like _ _ _ international academy ... something or other. Just let the Thais win this one... judging by your OP the event is surely over... how did it work out. Always nice to have an update after the fact.
  11. Agree to disagree. Earning a TEFL only gives people a glimpse of things to come. As a teacher in training you are still "protected" so to say, during your training by the regular teacher. It is a whole different ball game when you are on your own and then, only experience will help you survive.
  12. Just wonderful to see all the dog haters gathered in one post. I love dogs and cats even if soi dogs <deleted> me off once in a while I still love small and big animals enough not to mistreat them. I am sad to see all you guys here posting these disgusting pictures of dogs as meat... cruel cruel cruel
  13. I feel sorry for you that you don't have a best friend.
  14. Don't bet on any solution being found any time soon.
  15. The rock on my land took very little time to settle. After I filled it in I used a tamper I bought to compress the rock down. https://www.amazon.com/STKUSA-Vibration-Compaction-Compactor-Construction/dp/B07BSV8GLM This looks nearly like the one I bought at Hardware House for 18 000bht well spent. If you want to do it do it right the first time. Good luck
  16. I had to fill in 150 wah of my land. At first I put the sand/dirt typically used. The first year it almost all washed away. Eventually I started to fill in with rock and that solved the problem. On top of the rock I filled up with gravel and that made my land erosion resistant. My land is filled in over 2 meters in the rear of it an nearly a meter in front. That is a lot of dirt. I recommend you do the same thing. Rock is cheaper than I thought and since I used it no worries. It is not the rock that goes in concrete and unfortunately I don't have a picture. It is called 'hin pooh'. Shop around. Good luck.
  17. Holy cow Batman! Was that girl hit with an ugly stick? No Robin. It is just another Thai Katoey.
  18. Is this from a page of the movie 'Donnie Darko'?
  19. Your way of thinking is as archaic as a country that tests people arriving by plane, train or automobile. If you are one of those who thinks that because a country has laws that defy people's basic human rights then maybe you should move to one of those countries. There is such a thing called human rights, and although I am no expert I am pretty sure that doing something like this violates one's basic human rights. In this story the people who got arrested because they smoked weed... and not even in Malaysia. These kind of laws are as bad as they get. Imagine for a second if they decided to test for herpes, or syphilis. House rules? Ok then, screw them. BTW, where is the warning in Malaysia that they can randomly test people for drugs?
  20. Sounds like dad is using his son as a patsy. How did his son get his hands on the father's ID?
  21. It is attitudes like yours that stop progress in the world. So when the Jews were being rounded up it was OK because that was the rule of the day?
  22. Just plain wrong. They should let it be known that they are testing at border points. Then see what happens to their tourism.
  23. in·flo·res·cence /ˌinflōˈresns,ˌinfləˈresns/ noun BOTANY the complete flower head of a plant including stems, stalks, bracts, and flowers. So basically the good stuff is still a controlled substance.
  24. You are right. One of these guys who rather pay than have hassles. But he paid nonetheless. But I had a Thai girl back into my parked motorcycle and she tried to run away. While I was calling for the police a crowd of Thais gathered and started calling me names trying to get me to give up making it look like it was my fault.
