Never heard anything negative about speedy-visa.com. I know some of there customers and they are all very happy. Good personal connection to the Pattaya immigration. Since years people speak from a crackdown, never happened.

i just googled them after you said that, i could not find anything bad either, i see they been asked about before on this website with no bad reports surfacing and even saw a good report from someone on tripadvisor website in the search results

google 'thai retirement visa'
many of the search results offer ''financial support'', including many lawyers firms
as its advertised so openly by so many, you are left to think its an acceptable legal practice

No it does not.
Most Immigration offices require that to be seasoned.
i have just finally got through to bangkok immigration who said that if its money and letter? the money does not need to be in the bank for anytime. Can be in same day as apply

One post has been removed. Discussing illegal activity is not permitted. Using a visa service is not illegal, per se, although many are involved in illegal activity.
Please post with care.

Sounds like an industry ripe for a government "crack-down du jour".
you did not answer the question
are all those visa shops are illegal ?

You're either extremely naive or just trolling. Use your imagination.
To begin with, the immigration officer reviewing the application, has every right to question the provenance of the funds you are claiming to have. He/she also has absolute discretion to make a determination whether you actually own the requisite financial resources to qualify.
i am a newbie and naive, i asked a visa question 2 weeks ago, no one responded
i am taking the opportunity to try to learn something now
thats all

Agreed and people discussing it on a open forum is downright idiotic and the reason why these "services" will soon stop or the requirements to prove where the money has come from will be made harder
Do people really believe that the Government do not read this forum?
last week i went all around south pattaya and visited laods of visa office around tukcom area and was quoted anywhere between 16, 500 and 45,000 for a money backed renewal, some need to visit bank and some did not need it
so all those offers in those visa shops was illegal?

If you borrowed the money from a friend, it would be more difficult to prove fraudulent intent.
but who and why would anyone want to do that?
i do not understand

"they offer to put money required up for their customers who do not have it"
Doing so is illegalso borrowing money from someone for a visa is illegal?
what about from a bank?

If you pay someone else to make a false representation to the authorities (i.e. that you have resources that you don't actually have), you are clearly violating the spirit of the laws and regulations governing retirement extensions. I know there are places that will offer to do that, in some cases even successfully. However, that makes it neither legal, nor safe, i.m.o..
so if you borrowed the money from a friend , would that be illegal?

so those ''other offices'' are not following the rule of law and the advise offered by HQ then?
so the offices you are referring to would be wrong then?
so where are these offices?
seems to me it would be useful to know so thaivisa members could try to avoid them
