  1. Had a look on the internet and have to say it does look good I presume they are fully imported unless they are assembled here which would bring the price down somewhat
For me though as my money is sourced from Aus and the low exchange rate against the baht it pushes up the price compared with against the U.K. Pound
Realistically though for me I am very wary of driving too far on two wheels here and only use the Lambretta and Honda in the very local area
What I see on a daily basis particularly with young people driving recklessly at high speed I feel safer in the SUV which is a shame as there is great countryside up here
I might go and have a look the next time I am in Bangkok that seemed to be the only place there was a dealership
The problem is that I might be tempted!!!!!

911 scooter garage is a Scomadi dealer in BKK. They also have some wickedly quick lambrettas in their shop incl a RB250.
Dealers also in Pattaya & Chiang Mai. They moved production to Thailand this year & waiting on the new metal bodied 200 coming out next month.

  2. The grimstead Vespa's were called Hurricanes I think?

Just fitted a Michelin city grip to my Vespa LX. The scooters done just over 10k kms but don't know if it's the 1st tyre change since new.

Had the city grips on my old gts & they are a superb tyre for all weathers.

  3. While you lot are going back and forth arguing over whether people are British or not, maybe take a thought beyond a tag of nationality whether by birthright or naturalisation.
The issue that no one in politics seems willing to address is the cultural aspect of being British. Politicians have been so busy espousing the concept of multiculturalism, the concept of British culture has been left somewhere behind. If arrivals to the UK truly integrated I don't think there would have been a problem. But here we have a culture that mostly is the antithesis of what is British and has not integrated. Not only that, but parts of that culture have declared themselves at war with the host country. Until those in power can decide whether the British culture is worth standing up for then the problem will persist; even then they will have a problem dealing with it as it has got to such an advanced stage.

    Good points. 100% correct.

  4. 10 hours ago, katana said:

Libya was one of the 6 countries on the travel ban, which Manchester bomber Salman Abedi had recently returned from after attending an ISIS training camp there. Maybe they should have listened to him...

Correct. He also made a trip to Syria. 2 out of the 6 countries on Trumps list.

If only UK had followed what Donald Trump proposed, 22 lives would have been saved.

  5. My scooter can travel over the speed limit so I will use all lanes.

I will not ride in the left lane due to car, bus & van drivers suddenly either pulling straight out in front of you or cutting in front of you upon then immediately turning into a side soi.

I can also mention the so called drivers who undertake into the left lane & then try to push you out over to the side or drive right up your arse within inches & try to force u out of the lane!
