''Police nationwide launch a public safety mission for New Year holidays''

Perhaps a nationwide launch for public safety every day of the year might be a good idea........ that's what I thought the police were for !!!

Perhaps they should be checking licences, insurance, illegal lights, number plates sprayed over, illegal exhausts, 4 pillion passengers on a bike , overloaded pickups, underage drivers .... the list is endless..  We see pics of hundreds of police saluting their bosses......... what do they do all day.... we never see them around the town..... just forgot... I saw a few in the gold shops playing with their phones !!!!

I've just checked the date... it's not April 1st after all... 

Police check points have now ceased in our area ! When they were mounted it was after the students, 3 or 4 to a motorbike, had gone to school . At the end of the school day the 3 or 4 to a bike leaving the school were able to do so as the policeman controlled the motor traffic . !!

He couldn't even get the car into the marked  parking slot. !! Perhaps a few trolleys around his car might get the message to him..... but then maybe not !

Overflow type pool,  12m x 4m, 1.2m and 1.8 at the deep end. Sand filter , surge tank and underwater lighting , constructed 13 years ago.

Cost of chemicals and clarifiers etc can be expensive. . Cost 770,000 Baht.

So we can expect even more road accidents because pedestrians won't hear them coming !!

  Not before time .......  Meanwhile, the 101 illegal structures , shops and bars along the seaward side of Walking Street are still standing after 30 years !!

Give way to the Right....... what's the problem ?

What a bunch of lazy people. Best they go to Immigration next time. Were their papers/documents etc genuine ?

No problem , the cops won't see the smoke at the DUI night check points !!!

Hello kuma, who will be installing all your electrical work ? The ''electricians'' that I had first had little idea of the power needed to run all the aircons, multi point heaters , water and well pumps and swimming pool pump....... and had no idea what a ring - main was !.... they were asked to leave !! I managed to get a professional electrician who knew what he was doing and all is OK.

The local ''plumbers''  were unfamiliar with hot water plumbing so I installed the whole lot.... hot and cold for  5 toilets, 3 en-suites , two kitchens and bar.  All pipework was under the floor as it was 1 meter above  ground. The builder had not seen a septic tank system connected to a drain-field so I had to show them what to do !!.... Again , I did all the pipework  for the two 1400 litre septic tanks and their drain fields...... they know now !.... 

I would certainly  seek the most qualified tradesmen for your build..... and perhaps view some of their previous work !! Good luck......  please let us see your house when completed.

Because most Brits couldn't give a flying f£$K about the measures to curb the spread.

 My house construction was similar to Jojothai's. Our house was built on farmland. 76 holes were dug to take the base of the 'posts'. No premix concrete was used. Mixed on site with the builder's own machine and carried in buckets to fill the 76 holes and beam form-work !!! The roof tiles are concrete as the lightweight roofing we see today was not available then. Pre-cast concrete 'slabs' were use for the floor base and then concreted over with a 3'' layer .. Cavity wall throughout ie brick outer wall and Q- CON block for the inner wall. (keeps the house cool )..I hate to think how many tons are being supported by the 76 'posts' !! Piling was not even considered ! House still standing 12 years on... Good luck with your build..... show us the result on completion .
