When I came to Thailand over 20 years ago the Baht was 90 to the Pound. 

No tourist is going to consider Thailand for a holiday with Baht 31.2 to the Pound !!

Students under 15 ride m/c's to school every day, 3 or 4 on board in full view of the police and nothing is done to stop them. School Heads seem happy with the arrangement. Police happy to control vehicles to allow the students to park up. As long as this happens then these kids will continue to see this as the way to behave in the future. Traffic Police stops seem to start mid morning or mid afternoon and end before the students make their way home . TIT !!

I suggest we sort out theses ' environmentally friendly products' first Mr PM. How am I supposed to buy 4 helpings of frog and  banana pudding at the local market if there are no Styrofoam trays ?  Maybe I'll take 4 china basins or perhaps a saucepan. How about brown paper bags for the wet fish Mr PM ?

I had a 30 year lease drawn up by a lawyer. When I went to the local Ampur to get it 'registered' I was told the 'law had changed' and they then said they could only agree to a 10 year lease.  Anybody else had the same rejection ?

''  stall-prevention system '' all airliners have them , known as Captain and Co-pilot.  Surely the two well paid pilots should be able to fly the aircraft without it stalling !

Time to ban the tinting of windows.  A friend of mine has to wind his window down to see oncoming traffic before joining the main road from a side road late afternoon early evening time. I didn't see any window tinting during my recent visit to UK ......... but then the UK road deaths are nowhere near Thailand's 7000 so far this year !!

There's a law which says a helmet must be worn when riding a m/c.  The police cannot enforce that one so what hope is there for this new smoking law. ?

That's probably why they called it Walking Street.

What about the other 15 km of pavement around Pattaya ?  Take a look at the restaurant on the corner of 2nd Road and Soi Diana T which appears to have taken over the pavement with a permanent wall along the kerb... or am I seeing things ?
