It seems to me that there are many more Farang owned bars, and less Thai owned bars in the tourist areas than before covid. Farang owned bars are usually more expensive, with fewer smiles. Just my 2 cents worth.

I learned a long time ago, there are 2 kinds of Farangs in Thailand, happy Farangs and angry Farangs. The common theme seems to be that more angry Farangs are either married or have long time (5 years+) girlfriends, and happy Farangs are single. Not always, but definitely most. Sad, but true.

Northshore is the best condo on beach rd, IMHO. But I don't think they rent out for 25k, more like 35+

Maybe I am living in the past, I haven't been to PI since before covid and never been to Mindanao as I avoid muslim areas. But armed guards used to be all over Luzon. Yep, there's guns everywhere there. Even the guards outside the 7-11's are carrying assault rifles, which makes the whole country seem dangerous.

The only thing good about PI is the girls, everything else is pretty bad compared to Thailand.
