  Yes. In fact it was an Immigration officer who suggested it and even had me meet her at my bank. When I got there she had bank people ready to help me and it was done in 20 min.  Used it for three years now. I still go the day before my extension to get the statement letter.   Never need any other bank account info.

       Just small   note.    I use Wise to transfer THB into my bank account so no need to reference exchange rate for each transfer.  Just total up incoming transfers for the year.

It took two trips to PEA office and one to bank to achieve but now I get a bill in my mailbox every month and a receipt matching the bill a few days later.

Automatic withdrawal from my bank account. I do nothing but monitor it for any errors. Two years on and no problems so far.

If I have trouble logging into a USA site, such as my bank in Colorado, I change to American IP. This is rare.

Just today I logged into my TDAmeritrade and Wise accounts from Singapore with no issues.

1. Informs the Revenue Department's Officers that the principle (meaning) of the Section 41 paragraph two law shall now not be applied for foreign source income
that's derived or earned prior to 01 Jan 2024, and
2. Instructs the Revenue Department's Officers that, from 01 Jan 2024, they shall apply the principle (meaning) of the Section 41 paragraph two law, as follows:
•    For a resident of Thailand who derives or earns, whilst being a resident of Thailand, foreign source assessable income from 01 Jan 2024 onward,
•    Such foreign source assessable income is subject to tax when it is brought into Thailand from 01 Jan 2024 onward.

This seems to imply, that while all you stated it confirmed, income transferred into Thailand before Jan 2024 is not assessable. So while we may be required to file a return based on 2023 all funds brought in in 2023 will not be assessable.

In my case this is germane. I was assuming that I would be filing a return before Apr1 2024, and would have to  find my bank documents and sum all the transfers into my account (always using Wise). I understand that my SSA income from America would not be counted, but I transferred quite a bit last year (all from savings of previous years and SSA) in chunks whenever the exchange rate was favorable. So if all those transfers above my SSA income are assessable, it makes a considerable difference for the 2024 filing for Tax Year 2023.

If that is the case I will of course suffer taxation on all bank transfers during 2024, so must be more circumspect about how much I bring in. I feel lucky that over the last 4 years I have playing the exchange rates and bringing in some good chunks to build up my accounts here and to buy a house for cash. That jig is up for sure now though.

I suspect several folks here are in the same boat so your consideration to this nuance would be appreciated.

However... All is normal again now... Aircon is on as an experiment and zero issues. I have a UPS that supplies power to some electronics... and the UPS is happy 

 

My question...why would the shorting sound at the meter and flickering only occur at night.. Sure.. Higher humidity... But it's not that much a difference.. The temperature.. In the sun... is very different. Some lose connection would do this? A lizard fried there would have been done with a week ago... 

 

Any additional thoughts? Cheers 

Brownout perhaps? Low voltage at night because of higher loads on local transformer? Use a meter to measure voltage at an outlet when the issue occurs.

If you want a bullet-proof extension, if possible use the 800k timed account deposit (for at least three months before extension application) and get a letter from the bank a day before going to immigration.

The monthly income route is fraught with uncertainty depending on your immigration office.
