Excuse my terminolgy however silly games comments generaly only appear from Anti Brexit campaigners.
I certainly hope EU doesn't play UK's silly game of 'confusing the electorate'. That's British thing to do, not the EU way to do business or politics.
As to EU business, that made me chuckle as Brussels way of doing business is a 7 year negotiations (Canada) & currently the Japan deal is still in its infancy.
Lastly, yes evidence of EU politics is mockery & bullying, that kind of politics maybe one reason the UK is relieved to be leaving.

Only the weak believe Brexit is Impossible.
Just because you ask for the impossible, that doesn't mean you're entitled to get it.

And it was a bloody stupid question given the complexities of leaving. As we are seeing now.
The complexity of leaving is down to the current Government, that’s why they’re MP’s & in that position & role.(albeit Civil Service doing the rest).
Thus, the current government gave the electorate the choice in a referendum.
Voters done they’re job, it’s down to the ministers to fulfil theirs.

I asked for evidence for the accusation.
You dismissed it without evidence.

Utter nonsense.
If that’s so, care to prove it?

Merkel's arrogant autocratic leadership may also be her downfall.
Requesting for solidarity from being the root cause (Germany specific) is laughable.
Despite the domino affect, appears to be ignorance & denial by default.

I am with Vettel on the first lap incident, it was all Hamilton's fault, he should have known better, there was no way Seb could see him there for all the red mist...
Of course it was Hamilton fault ;-)
Race stewards summary decided otherwise: No further action.
Oh well never mind......

Totally substandard poor analysis of 17.3m (1.25m) majority of British leavers. This alone may explain the 17.4 rabid, frothing, British EU haters..
Politely summurised as 'Utter tosh'.

I initially saw this on Twitter, disappointing that nothing tangible came from it however at least the meeting took place.

It doesn't have to be respected - that is why we have a representative democracy, to stop us from taking stupid decisions.
Failure to respect is also failure to allow democracy to continue.
Only remainers & anti Brexit campaigners believe the vote doesn’t have to be respected, so 17 M made a stupid decision?
Bizarre & utter ridiculous statement to make.

HMG & PMTM made it emphatically clear the the UK will leave the customs union & single market, there's plenty of media statements and interviews which support this. The UK has not chosen to be out of the single market, TM has proposed a half in half out scenario and not surprisingly rejected by the EU. It has been hinted she could concede on the free movement issue which would be out in name only.
We are still waiting to see what the JRM proposal will look like.
As for JRM proposal, I strongly suspect the remainers don't wish to be operating any dangerous machinery the day its released.

And your so obsessed with another vote because remainers are unhappy of the result. What’s wrong in your life that you’re so obsessed about this?
With some posters it's like frigging groundhog day just because they didn't like the result, the UK is moving on maybe the bitter remainers or anti Brexit campaigners just deal with it & allow the process to conclude.

Ah, you say easily shared. No question.
Brexit also damages the EU very versatile.
Economically, that's not even contested by Pro Brexit people.
The EU thanks for it (sarcastically speaking).
Geopolitical, the damage is - not monetary - in much higher damage areas.
But the damage to the UK will be greater than for any single EU country.
The damage is easily shared by 27 countries like an insurance company.
With which countries does the UK share its damage?
Incorrect I'm afraid as their is an imbalance of regions within the EU.
Look at the primary 'contributors' compared to the primary 'recipients' within the whole EU economic structure.
Easily shared couldn't be further from the truth or fact.

I don't usually use the DM for a good reason, however when I first read it, the source stated it was from the Times. How do you come to this result?
Clearly the UK and the EU will lose (economic and geo political)
But in the UK, exports to 27 EU countries are burdened with who knows what problems. From the EU perspective, damage (customs duties, new bureaucracy, inspection procedures, certificates of origin, pre-tax registration, etc.) is shared among 27 countries.
In my assessment, the UK will suffer more than any single EU country. The Brexit damage splits up to 27. Conversely, the UK bears the trade damage with 27 EU countries alone.

If no deal ever existed then the whole WA process would have been concluded much sooner. In all honesty, it was made clear from the outset that there would be no cherry picking deal, and this has been the response all along. It's just that people chose not to take them at their word. Tories have spent the last couple of years bickering over a deal that never existed.
Yes, Barnier stated no cherry picking (as part of his orders/directive foundation) however the whole WA negotiations continues & gradually deteriorating, the whole point of negotiations is to achieve a constructive and progressive outcome.
If an actual no deal is the tangible result, it'll hurt the EU more the UK.

When will all the madness and hate all over the world, Stop ?
Unfortunately & the harsh fact reality it won’t.
As for this copy cat attack, Until further facts & evidence are gathered all that can be done is remain vigilant, don’t assume anything.
Hope all those affected, cyclists, pedestrians are ok or will recover swiftly.
Top marks to all emergency services responding to the attack.

What is the point of putting the Chequers plan to a vote? Its core is totally unacceptable to the EU.
Because it’s part of the democratic process, virtually any deal that doesn’t allow Brussels authority over the U.K. & affects the EU core principles was going to be unacceptable, that’s been pretty clear from the start as Barnier & the EU will only accept a deal which both deters others from leaving and despite what Barnier says will penalise a leaving MS.
Westminster still has its protocols, is accountable and as it currently stands Barnier et al have shown no compromise at all, unless his orders & directive gets changed from his Bosses.

IMO the House of Lords are there to scrutinise the Government yet not hinder or block progress.(which is their job & primary role anyway)
Both chambers should be accountable, reform, reduce but not removing them completely should be the focus.

I think the Bond producers broke the mound introducing a black “Moneypenny” I think Naomi Harris does a great job, and sexy too.
As for the character of Bond, it would need to be in keeping with the authors history, criteria and capability. Idris has capability that’s for sure.
IMO Tom Hardy would make a great Bond.

So a 15k poll commissioned by 'best for Britain' & 'hope not hate'
Not much of agenda there then, these groups have to be seen active to continue their funding & recruitment to the great unwashed & tunnel visioned brain dead*, so yes oops, big deal.
*My last is not a personal dig, simply an observation.

@nauseus summary more or less nails it.Why mention Italy and Greece and not Germany and France??? Northern Europe is doing very well thanks to (or despite) the Euro. Why would the UK be different?
Schengen is for free movement within the region and has nothing to do Merkels open borders.
Personally, I like Schengen: no borders or passport controls if you go on holiday to Italy or Spain or... (and don't need to change money either [emoji3]).

To be honest, Staying clear of the Euro & Schengen was the UK'S very best strategy. To be honest, I think that for the UK to profit most from EU membership they actually should have adopted the Euro and Schengen. The UK were always a bit of half-in, half-out. Not a good long term strategy.
It was Blair mission to get GB into the Euro, thankfully he failed, especially when you consider Greece & Italy serious fiscal issues, and the EU woes are far from over.
As for Schengen, just ask Merkel how her open borders has helped her recent & ongoing domestic political survival.

Absolutely. I care passionately about the destruction of my country and depriving young people of a future. Why are Brexiteers so scared about letting the people decide on the terms of Brexit, once they are fully known and understood. Another referendum or, more likely, an extension of Article 50 and then a General Election with parties fully committed to either "no deal" (UKIP), the Chequers deal (Tories) or Remain (Lib Dem, Green, Scot Nats and, crucially, Labour) would be fair to everyone.

Oh dear, passionate about the destruction of the U.K?
Still waiting on the apocalyptic scenario & the young, like all other age groups will adjust accordingly.
The only people I see scared are remainers reliving Groundhog Day as they didn't get the desired result. With respect....Enjoy the thread.
