I should've said England. The Scottish gov might want to maintain this perpetual cycle of lockdowns to supress what is now a low risk virus, but I very much doubt the same will happen in England.

In the UK the number of hospitalisations and deaths is tiny compared to previous waves. Yes infection rates are high, but death/hospitalisation numbers are the important numbers now. Those numbers are now at an acceptable level versus other illnesses. Try to be more positive.

So the Delta infected person came from the other country with borders in hard lockdown, Australia. Presumably that's why NZ allowed Australians in, because their borders were just as tightly controlled. Yet as I said, Delta still got in. Tightly locking borders just delays the inevitable as far as I can see.

Are NZ not currently dealing with a Delta variant outbreak despite closing borders?

Yep, I can't help thinking they're just delaying the inevitable in Australia and NZ. Their governments are behaving like those parents who won't let their kids play in the mud and who disinfect everything in sight. I have a few friends in Oz and some are posting bizarre stuff on social media, sounding petrified because 1 Covid case has been found in an entire city. On the other hand I see a few who are fiercely anti-lockdown. Only time will tell which (if any) countries got the tactics right, but I just don't think the 'zero Covid' approach can work.

I agree with the first sentence. Your second sentence is wrong though. Straight punters would pull a woman not a LB (unless they were deceived). There's nothing wrong with men liking LBs if that's their thing, but if we're going to use labels let's get them right.

Not sure how your response relates to my comment. Men either fancy women, or they fancy men/LBs/all 3. If they are in the latter camp good for them. I'm not. And I don't see how you trying to tempt me into that camp will help fight global warming.

Interesting debate, but isn't this a bit like one of those 'what would you do if you won the lottery' questions? As in, it's not ever going to happen (Thaksin returning to power). Unless anyone can describe the route to that outcome?
