  1. Strange putting 3000 baht into your passport for 1 or 2 days overstay when you could of done like every one else and paid the 500 baht per day.
  2. There was never any problem staying more than 90 days out of 180 at least not in the past 15 years, I've never once been stopped or questioned when coming back across the border after getting my visa..some might get a red warning stamp when applying at an embassy if they have a few visas already, which makes it more difficult to get another visa but not impossible.
  3. What's illegal? Nothing illegal about getting back to back visas.
  4. I buy the half green loaf everyday at 7 11,its price has increased from 22 baht to 24 baht, its defenitly not 40 baht. Think about it, why would they charge 40 for a half and 49 for a full?
  5. My current permit doesn't end until April 20,but with deadline day march 25th it means I need to apply about 25 days early.so I have 3 choices I think, 1. use a visa agent. 2. go before deadline day and hope they accept my application.3.wait and hope they do another round of extensions.
  6. Jomtien I'mmigration. Yes I entered visa exempt, have not had any problems at all so far applying for covid extensions .usually apply 30 days before my current extension is up,but this round a few people I know trying to apply early have been sent away and told to come back 3 days before their extension expires. That puts a bit more pressure on.
  7. I have to apply for another covid extension this month, my passport has alot of covid extensions,i have brand new passport waiting for me to pick up at my embassy in Bangkok. I'm not sure should I try for another extension with my current passport or go and collect the new passport and apply using that, what do you think? Would it make a big difference going with a fresh passport?
  8. Yes correct, that's why last time I came back from Cambodia I came in at a different border crossing. I remember people have big problems at poipet just before the covid madness began.
  9. Yes I a agree with u, did they find another immigration office to get their extension?
  10. Man I don't understand what your talking about.reopening the country with out fear and scaremongering?vietnam has been closed for the past 2 years,it had some extremely strict lockdowns, as of today still no tourist visas, they still haven't decided about what requirements people need to enter, yesterday they were talking again about 2 or 3 days quarantine hotel and 2 to 3 tests before your free to roam.
  11. If I was you and your not in any rush to get back to Thailand I would chill out in Cambodia for a few months until land borders open. Big difference between coming in by land and flying in..coming in by land is no problem at all.
  12. In all fairness to them their probably right, down the deep south isn't the safest place in world to be.
  13. Last time I applied in Phnom Penh I think I had to show proof of 1000 dollars in my bank and show an onward ticket out of Thailand.best to use a visa agent in Phnom Penh.
  14. What's samut prakan immigration like for covid extensions?
  15. Same as my self, have always used Jomtien and always applied around 3 or weeks before my extensions ended. This time around people are reporting they can only apply 3 days before their extension ends. Like you say visa agent is probably the best bet.
  16. If that was you in there position would you have hung around? I highly doubt it.
  17. Does anyone know which immigrantion offices are allowing people to apply for extensions 30 days before there current extension expires?
  18. Yep, was in siem reap just before borders closed. Nice apartment.
  19. Last month the ques outside were huge, drove past this morning shortly before 8 and the que pretty small for a Monday morning.deffinetly alot less people looking for extensions compared to the previous few months.
  20. I hear what your saying, but my own experiences living here seem to be an awful lot different than yours.
  21. It already isn't safe here? We are only tolerated because we bring money? WIth all due respect you seem to live in a world of your own. Going by your daily comments you seem to hold a strong grudge against Thailand .i can guarantee the vast majority of us here feel very safe and get on very well with the locals..
