  1. I guess I'm not clear on what a friend is.
  2. If you already knew, why ask? I would not leave my wife wanting to help a friend.
  3. I would say longtime friend about someone that is someone I am still in contact with. I would say old friend about someone in my past. Maybe it's a US/UK thing. What difference does it make? Did you want to talk smack about a death man's wife?
  4. Again, she's either a friend or she is not. If she was smart, she likely would not have married an a-hole.
  5. If I died tomorrow, I know that every Thai friend that I have would be at my funeral and help my surviving family any way they could. Funerals are not for the dead, they are for the living.
  6. One having more than another means nothing, he can either afford to give her the money and not be concerned about getting the money back, or he can't. Yes, the woman should have made better life choices, but she didn't. It's irreverent. She is either a friend worth giving the money to, or she is not. The insurance may or may not pay, and it will take as long as it takes. He should not give the money with any expectation that he will ever get the money back.
  7. Is your home air-conditioned? Is there a ceiling, and if so, is there significant space between the roof and the ceiling? If there is significant space between the roof and ceiling vented?
  8. The left better hope he does not.
  9. Not sure what your "friend's" financial situation is, but if I had a longtime friend that was left penniless when her a-hole husband died, and she wanted to borrow B50K, I would just gift her the money. That said, if I were living hand to mouth, I would just give her what I could. Never loan friends money.
  10. He plead down to reckless driving, a misdemeanor. I think Walz is a POC, but I do not care about the charge.
  11. It seems like when we get deliveries, they take everything out and check against the bill.
  12. No, it was not her job to prosecute. “I, _________, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will administer justice without respect to persons, and do equal right to the poor and to the rich, and that I will faithfully and impartially discharge and perform all the duties incumbent upon me as _________ under the Constitution and laws of the United States; and ... It doesn't say get as many poor shmucks as possible to plea down to make my numbers look good. and then laugh about it when asked if you participate in the same activity.
  13. I watched "The Union" The Union (2024) - IMDb and it was pretty ridiculous the whole way though, but if you like Mark Wahlburg and Halle Berry (I do) it's worth watching. 4.5/10
  14. Another content free micro-post I see
  15. I think she'll do fine, particularly with the moderators to run cover for her, or maybe give her the questions ahead of time like they did Hillary.
  16. Not my first choice, but "The .223 Remington is one of the most popular centerfire cartridges on the face of the earth and is certainly the most popular choice for coyote hunters using ARs..." You really know nothing about firearms, do you? Best AR-15 Calibers For Predator Hunting | An Official Journal Of The NRA (americanhunter.org)
  17. Vance is a complete fake? Flip-flopped positions: JD Vance flipped on: Trump, gender procedures for children and support for police, This over the course of 10-15 years in his 20s, until his 40s Kamala Harris: wanted to ban fracking, now she doesn’t, wanted to ban private health care, now she doesn’t, wanted a mandatory gun buy-backs in connection with an “assault” weapons ban, now she doesn’t, supported Biden’s open border policies, now she's tought on the border, wanted to defund the police, now she's strong on crime, and this over the course of a few weeks because of the election, after which she'll flip back. Vance served honorably in the Marines, went to Ohio State University where he graduated summa cum laude with a BA in political science, in two years. He then went to Yale law school, arguably the best in law school in the country, where he was editor of the Yale Law Review and got his JD. He clerked for a federal judge, spent time doing corporate law, worked for a venture capitalist and wrote a bestselling book. He's married and has three kids. Walz joined the guard out of high school where he spent a weekend a month, went to a mediocre school where he got a BS degree (without distinction) and taught social studies. Quit the guard when his unit was deployed, ran for congress and won, ran for governor and won, did nothing while Minneapolis burned, and oversaw the decline of education in his state from 7th place to 18th place in the country, but hey, he made lunches "free" and put tampons in the boy's bathroom. Looks to me like Harris is the fake, as is stolen valor Walz.
  18. Is that the scary looking one with the black stock and the muzzle break that sells for half what a decent hunting rifle sells for?
  19. So apparently your position is that we should listen to what the left says, and ignore what the left does, is that it?
  20. Sounds like it.
  21. Okay, when I plug in the new numbers, it takes three months longer to break even. How funny is that?
  22. How is it that "most assault rifle deaths are amongst the easiest firearm deaths to prevent? And unless you are the perpetrator how does one go about "...avoiding people involved in theft, robbery and other property crimes"? How would you define "assault rifle"?
  23. When I said: "The countries that are supporting Ukraine do not have the stomach to start sending their kids there to fight.", how is that ignoring it? No, the question should be, is NATO ready to put boots on the ground in Russia.
