RFK Jr. argues that Biden is a bigger threat to democracy than Trump
Yellowtail replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Absolutely. Putin funded Trumps first campaign, generated pro-Trump disinformation on the internet and infiltrated the DNC and Hillary's server to make sure he was elected. Then, in an attempt to ruin Biden in the second election Putin planted the phony Hunted laptops that exposed (falsely) how corrupt the Biden family really is, but fortunately the FBI working with corporate media and big tech was able to quash the story, effectively saving the free world. After Trump lost, Putin colluded with Trump, far-right extremist groups and Christion nationalist groups to fund an armed insurrection and overthrow the United States government and install Trump as a dictator. Fortunately, the well-planned attempt was brilliantly defeated, and the insurrection failed. Currently, Putin is bribing judges and paying Trump's legal bills and posting his bonds. If Putin and Trump have their way, Trump will be reelected, be installed as a dictator and it will be the end of democracy. Trump will publicly join forces with Putin, and they will take over all of Europe and the world. Putin will control every military in the world, and Trump's name will be on every hotel. -

Yet none of the capital police were seriously injured during the "insurrection" even though hundreds of people were assaulting them, got it. You go lefty! -
Wow, you had a dimmer in the early '70s? You must have been rich! I remember my dad replacing the switch in the "dining" room back in the '60s, and bragging it was a mercury switch...

Absolutely. Everyone not in lockstep with the radical left is a Putin puppet. Putin-puppet Trump let Putin invade Ukraine and jacked up oil prices to help fund the invasion. -
Who could expect a befuddled old man to remember he had been stealing classified documents for thirty years and that he had them stored haphazardly in five separate locations, even though he had bragged about them and let his ghost writer some of them in 2017. He just forgot all about them until he decided to have Trump prosecuted, and then all of the sudden they were "discovered", wink-wink-nudge-nudge. Got it

Electric Vehicles in Thailand
Yellowtail replied to Bandersnatch's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
With five or ten new brands flooding the market it's not surprising they're giving discounts on cars, particularly on old platforms like the Mazda 2 and others. That BYD has seen a 47% drop in sales Q1-24 vs Q4-23 might be an indication of how the market is doing. -

Why is January 6th being called a riot now? I thought it was an insurrection, no? Guess the left just made all of that up... -

But the question was how Clarence Thomas is directly benefiting from his judicial decisions. If you don't know, just say you don't know, don't just keep saying it. -

Nice try! 😉 Interest rates were raised in an attempt to curb inflation, not to slow employment growth. -
Too many variables, from "free" when all they have to do is tighten a connection, to a several hundred to re-sweat a connection to a thousand or more to remove and repair a copper coil. Not including the initial service charge, and topping/refilling the gas. I wonder why people don't ask them to. A lot of people think the gas is some kind of consumable and just ask them to top it off. A lot of service guys do not actually do repairs, they do flat-rate services in a competitive market with no customer loyalty and most everyone wanting the cheapest possible service. What do you think the margin is for a guy with a truck, tools, a pressure washer and a second-man cleaning air conditioners for 500 a pop? If your car is not running, do you take it to the carwash to have them fix it? For repairs, the customer also almost always wants a price before the tech knows where the leak is, which the tech cannot provide, or if they do provide a quote, they have to quote it high. And then the customer thinks they're getting robbed when all the guy does is get his sniffer out of the truck, find the leak and tighten up a fitting or two. Buy your air conditioners from an authorized supplier that is close to your home and that also does service. Quit worrying about a few hundred baht here and there and give them your business.

Ugandan Court Upholds Draconian Anti-Gay Law

I thought you wanted to send Ugandan gays to the US, sorry, my bad. -
Leaks at the connections are generally pretty easy to fix. Leaks on a copper coil are more difficult, but fixable. Leaks on an aluminum coil are fixable, but so problematic that with a home unit, you are better off replacing it.
