  1. I have changed my position a bit about the people supporting Palestine/Hamas. I used to just think they were fools.
  2. Tim Horten's has quite a few stores here and I was underwhelmed. I would rate Dunkin' over Tim Horten.
  3. That Israel is (apparently) being taken to task by the court for what they did post 10/7 seems to beg the question why the court has not taken Palestine to task for what they did on 10/7. Of course, we all know why that it.
  4. Starbucks it not the "most expensive brand" if you compare apples to apples. Has anyone mentioned PunThai Coffee? They are pretty good and are at many/most PT pumps, and sometimes have drive-thrus.
  5. If the representation of different groups in media has no effect on anyone's thinking, what difference does it make what groups are on TV and how they are portrayed?
  6. You don't hear much about dark money anymore since most of it is on the left now. Right now, almost half of adults pay no federal income tax. I'm all for fiscal responsibility.
  7. Amazon has two sizes for hot latte, and they are both pretty small. Not as small as 7/11 though.
  8. I like both Amazon and Starbucks cappuccino and latte. Amazon is cheaper, but Starbucks is bigger, and the seating is typically nicer. Menu – Starbucks Thailand
  9. It amazes me the number of people who come out of the woodwork to hate Starbucks. It's like McDonald's. One might not like Starbucks or McDonald's, but claiming they're the absolute worst and whatnot seems a bit odd.
  10. `I had a female Akita for 12-14 years here. All white, pink nose, beautiful dog. We got her when she was two and really had no problems the first ten-twelve years, then she developed some skin problems. She was a yard dog and seem to do fine. Sheading was not too bad except once a year when she molted. Fur all over the yard for two weeks. Had to rake it up along the fence. When I traveled, I'd leave her at the plant with the security guard. The guys at the plant all liked her. I would say she wasn't very bright, but she was two when we got her, and she had been mostly caged up until then. Happy dog, she loved riding in the back of the pickup, was good a leash and really liked people. Great dog, I would take one or both if I had a decent yard. Good luck.
  11. Nor yours mine. Carry on.
  12. I am never really without cash, that would be like driving around on fumes, or without a spare. I use an ATM about once a month. I have a US "no-fees" ATM card I can use overseas or in a pinch. I pay most everything with credit cards now.
  13. Yeah, but the ATMs are everywhere anymore.
  14. I think most of the anti-Israel crowd it also anti-US. It's the whole oppressor-oppressed ideology. The oppressor (Israel/US) is always wrong, and the oppressed (Palestinians/non-whites) are always right. Even when the oppressed commit atrocities, it is only because of what the oppressors have done, ergo, the oppressed are not to be held responsible.
  15. What exactly was wrong with the "mow the lawn" strategy? It sounds bad, but I think the people criticizing it know nothing about it.
  16. Another vote for cardless...
