Again, I lived right near NYC, worked there, visited in a few times a month, and lived ,worked, and drove in all surrounding boroughs for 30 years. Then I moved next to San Antonio, another major city. I sold guns for many years, and knew a lot of policemen from those sales. I knew what was going on because I watch and listen, to the news and police stories, as well as all the people I knew in those two states. I didn't have any blinders on. I know what goes on , both here and still there by the news I get daily from both places.

People watch the news and get paranoid, thinking there's going to be a shooting near them. I never saw one. Never heard any gunfire besides from myself hunting and at ranges. Of course it doesn't mean crime wasn't happening. Same as here, but these aren't normal situations here. This country leads the world in children raised by grandparents. Over 35% and rising. This means no dads usually, with moms elsewhere working. This kind of situation brings major trouble, with kids looking to their peers for what to do, instead of having a father teaching them restraint and respect for life. This is why I'm saying crime here rivals the US in many ways. Of course the population is much higher and there aren't near as many mass shooting here as the US, but that will rise also.

You obviously didn't live there but just visited the US? I was there, daily, in Hispanic and black neighborhoods, and looking around, was the only white man around. I never had any trouble. Yes, I have been working out for 50 years, and that does bring some respect, but to a person who's mentally ill with a gun, that means nothing. Point is, they usually go after each other, meaning the gangs.

Yes, people are robbed daily, here, there and everywhere, but you try not to look like a victim. Sometimes it doesn't matter, but it did never happen to me. I felt totally safe there, because I knew there weren't going to be a group of teens attacking me. It doesn't happen there, but happens here daily. I would not walk at night in any city here, especially any of the bigger ones, as teen cowards armed with weapons haven't the mental capacity to know what happens if someone fights back, and even fighting back can get you killed when it's 5 against 1, especially if they have guns.

I have walked at night and drunk in pretty much every city in Thailand and hardly had any trouble at all. You cant say that for most major cities in the world and tbh wouldnt even entertain in most cities, regardless if i look like i have been working out lol.

Agreed...  Everyone knows...  stay well away from drugs due to the extreme, harsh and barbaric penalties such 'offences' attract.

In the UK a Brit was sentenced to 25 years in prison for having a friends Vape Pen in his car (which contained THC oil)... the penalty is clearly excessive from very angle...

As are the penalties towards many drugs offenses in Thailand.

How many guys were serving decades for dealing Marijuana which is now suddenly legally and socially acceptable...

Of course - don't do the crime etc etc..    but my point again, is how out of 'balance' the penalties seem with the actual offence committed.

What are you talking about, you dont get 25 years in the UK for a vape pen with THC lol.

    Source please!??

No doubt. Farang beware. No wonder the Pattaya Flying Club is so popular

Sadly enough not sure if anyone can recall but a young Belgian man in Hua HIn did exactly just this, about 7 years ago he jumped off a local hotel roof.

Guess what he was working with the same 'lawyer' Accounting firm, that i had the unfortunate pleasure of dealing with and also lost lots of money with. Sad place at times.

  4. Bitcoins don't actually move or get sent anywhere. Ownership is assigned and maintained through a shared public ledger.

By owning bitcoin what you have access to a digital signature that allows you to sign transactions that you can claim ownership of or anything that its assigned to.

At this moment in time it represents a dollar value and you can track ownership on the public ledger to see and search every single owner and transactions that occured.

'Sending' bitcoins basically means giving up the rights over units on the ledger by signing them to another user. You can sell or transfer the rights to these asset(s) by digitally signing a transaction to someone else therefore they become the owner of those assets.

Essentially soon, any transaction of value relating to any asset could be transfered over the bitcoin network.

How did they respond to your 'Mensa Moment'?

    In general I mean.

Hardly a Mensa moment i only did it a few times as every time i went to a new bar is was always hearing the 3 month thing and just did it as a bit if a joke.

Anyway if you really are asking or were just taking the mickey with your Mensa moment reply.

There reaction depended on whether they had actually been working at the bar for 3 months.

Most of them were lying, so they would give a coy smile and weird body movement as if to say ok you've caught me out there a bit.

If they had been here for only 3 months they seemed impressed that i knew something about them and would be genuinely intrigued but then would always be a bit naive.

That depends on his temperament in a relationship. If he's needy or thinks she must do as he say's. If he's a control freak. If he doesn't think he's getting his monies worth! IMO this sort of situation can turn south very easily. Maybe he should look for a retired nurse?

Hes in a mobility scooter, over weight and undervalued by his ex wife whom im presuming was not a looker, so im sure he will will be pleasantly surprised by the attention that he will get in Thailand from both the girls and ladyboys. Of course hell have to be sensible but that the norm for any trip to a foreign country.

That could be a problem. Don't see any females or Lady boy's wanting to nurse him through old age. He could end up broke and dumped in a short a time!

Thailand is the perfect place for exactly just this!

Sounds like he would love it here as long as he has money to pay for it all he will be well looked after, you can count on that.

  8. The question should be not can you take the bar from the girl but can you take the northern from the girl.

When i used to go to a new bar, i would immediately write '3 months' on a beer mat and turn it over, when a girl approached and started chatting i would ask them how long they have been working here and 90 % of the time they would say 3 months and i would turn the beer mat over and show them.

I guess that all bars were extremely short staffed 4 months ago ????

  9. So only poor people post on this forum then lol !?

You would be surprised at some the activities of millionaires, I know one who does Uber trips from time to time and others who spend all day on twitter and others juts get pissed in bars and eat at expensive restuarants. Even 'balling' as you put it can get boring if you do the same thing all the time.
