Oh, where to start, but if you do not know better, Im not going to convince you about the diversity of Isaan, from world class racing track, to national parks with wild elephants, tigers, rivers, waterfalls, yes big waterfalls far in to the jungle where tigers not so long time ago killed one local, mountains, rear geolocial phenomens, whale rocks, chian Khan in Loei before you head in to the North. Nakhon ratchasima, Chaiyaphum and Loei is my favorite Isaan provinces. If you like motorbike riding, you got it all, but if you driving car on all the highways, you missing out -

Most have only visited their wife or gf family there, and it is understandable if thats their only impression from Isaan. But as Said, the right location in Isaan can be as good as any other place if you do not get stuck. -

Have you ever been to Isaan? There are no salt sea beaches, but rivers, and lakes. The pollution is bad for 2-3 months like the rest of the country. I do not need to stay during those times, and I can travel whenever I want where I want. As said it is a great base, and a great place to be during the rain season and cold season. Isaan is very diverse with national parks, hills and mountains, and many beautiful places if you know where to go. Also a paradise for motorbike riding on and off road. I also have a fully equipped home gym with a treadmill, rowing machine, leg press, leg curl, squat rack, smith machine, pull down, seated rowing, cable cross, kettlebells and hantles up to 40kg. Freeweights of total 300kg -

Not at all, we live a decent life when we are in Isaan, a very good life which gives meaning, and also a nice contrast to chasing around to keep boredom away. A great base with all facilities we need, fresh food, live stock to feed from, and peace and quiet. But now we will spend more time back home, and secure our future both places. This is possible with good help from her family -

Living in a decent condominium central makes it ok, and no need for a car. And during the normal weekdays there is a great atmosphere with very few people around. Decent choice of restaurants, but nothing really high end, even Andreas had some moments where he really delivered top notch, but the last few times disappointed us, also with his arrogance when trying to give some heads up about our last experiences. Might be different now. Also a great expat environment with many different interest groups, hands down a lot more decent people in Hua Hin than other places I travelled, and easy to meet and hook up with outside typical bar scenes. Very good gyms, tennis, golf, combat sports, and the Jazz festival was great, not sure if they are up and running again, since I'm off social media now. The beach and hills for walking, and with a big bike it was a great base for going anywhere in the country. No boring roads going south or North. For those who searching young ladies, and p4p bar scene, I can understand Hua Hin is not a very good place. What I saw was mostly retired tired ladies, so better to Keep those guys in Pattaya and leave Hua Hin for couples 😉 Hua Hin is suposed to be good for swinging for those who is interested in that. Never got involved, but we had a few proposals. -

We started our serach in Cha-Am, was gone after two nights even we already had booking and paid for a week. We settled in Hua Hin for 3 years until covid came, then moved to Isaan. Do not regret that choice now. -

Aussie man sues Thai ex-wife after Danish affair & money swindle
Hummin replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
We all create our own illusions 😉 If it works for you, good for you, but it doesnt change you just justifie paying a prostitute for sex by calling every other woman who is married for being a prostitute! -
One reason might be for safety reasons, protecting Israelis from the angry mob in Maldives. Second the bilateral deals have been on and of the last 60 years, Wikipedia The countries had diplomatic relations from 1965 to 1974. From 2012 to 2017, they maintained cooperation agreements, but did not restore full diplomatic relations. In 2024, the Maldives banned Israeli passport holders from entering the nation due to the Israeli government's conduct in the Israel–Hamas war. Second, it is in its nature to turn the blind eye out of their own interests, and I will be so brave to say, every country does, and have been doing for long time when it comes to the Israel - Palestinian conflict.

The main thing with marrying in Thailand, as everywhere else, is to take your time, meet the family, even the drunk uncles, the gambling auntie, get a feeling how this will be, and also her friends! You will soon know what you have to deal with! Have dated former bar girls who is settled and married in Europe now, and doing good, working and living decent lives. Have met educated daughters of police, army, academics who turned out to be pure gold diggers, so ? Met one who came out of a longer relationship, and me the same, we had no rush to become a couple, and took our time. During this time there where never a time she was out of battery, bad connection, question for money, drama hiding bad guilt or any misunderstandings. Simple small red flags, none Good communication is essential for a good relationship. Long distance relationship with a pro? Leave her in a tourist destination? Oh, Leaving her in village with a dysfunctional family ? oh, Good luck

I had said before, two evil doesnt make one right!

Thats the difference between one who only willing to see a conflict one way, and not see reasonable causes why people and states becomes terrorists as a final result. But world politics is difficult when everything comes down to fight for its own existence, and nobody sees you or aknownledge you or your suffering.

Quite surprising, I was not aware of that, thank you, What stop them from doing so?

I can say it is understandable seen the history of how Israel finely became a state, they are as angry as some of you are but the other way around. How the Palestinians have become the soi dogs for Israel and western world, is quite clear.

Judgement day is now and the winner takes it all. Who will win the war, and who will win the propaganda war, Thats the question!
-
Maldives is a Sunni state, and I guess they see Israel same way we saw the Nazis. My best guess, and understandable since they only see one side of the conflict, same as some here do with Israel eyes. Horrible pics and news coming out do make an impact if only see one side.

It is each and one member of the UN who is stating Hamas as a terror organization, not UN itself, but I cant really find anything else Worth reading is this press release. World politics is complicated Special Coordinator, Stressing ‘All Sides Must Urgently Change Course’, Appeals to Security Council for Support of Gaza’s Political Future However, the 15-nation organ still refuses to recognize that the blame lies with the terrorists https://press.un.org/en/2024/sc15710.doc.htm

Thailand to tax residents’ foreign income irrespective of remittance
Hummin replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Spent almost 18 million the last 8 years in Thailand, and with the new tax rules as it look like today, I would not had settled here with a farm, car, motorbikes, but the land I bought for my wife, is soon more worth than all investments used on the farm itself. Living cost including travels, insurance, holidays inside Thailand comes down to roughly 1,5 million a year. Living cost in Isaan comes down to 350k only, so the rest is spent on travelling and other things in Thailand. Cant imagine paying tax for my investments. Still going to Cambodia is a long shot, because we do not know the future there either. Going back home and make 2 million a year the next decade sounds better to me, than living full time in Thailand. Free aircondition, fresh air and alot of fresh food to fish, hunt and pick 😉 -
You have to deliver your criminal certificate for your retirement visa application when you apply from embassy in your orign country, so why not when applying in Thailand first time?
