If you have no connection inland or gf/wife with connection, moving to any city will be dificult for many reasons. Just for the experience, can be good, but larger investments I would be careful to do. For now I live part time in Isaan, but living there after my 70'ies, I do not think I will do. I will rather invest in something more central with fresh breeze of air from the sea. As long I hae energy and interest to work on the farm, I feel I have a decent life on the farm. But without my gym, the animals, motorbikes, and budget to travel often both in Thailand, and also "home" I would had gone nuts. You will need something that keeps your life interesting and something that gives value. Very few manage to have quality interactions with locals, so you are depended on a good and healthy expat environment and a very good relation with gf/wife/partner and with a life partner the whole family comes with a package for good or bad. Red flags can be girls who say they have no relations with their family, or to strong bond with their family including siblings, aunties and uncles with more. Grown up kids as well.

Never had any of that when I visited there, but yes, crowded in the weekends because it is in close reach from Bangkok. Week days is more quiet, and there is some quality homes there to rent or buy as well Bangpra Sriracha.

Just remember the air quality is horrible 4 months a year in Nakhon Sawan and Phitsanulok. If you want decent air, southern provinces with more rain is to prefer, and the last years heat inland, have been horrible as well. Lived many places in Thailand, and best quality life is either an Island or around the beaches.

They are more fertile, and often pregnant after first visit. Philippines is great, Dumaguette is a great place to settle and have as base.

Nakhon Sawan very small expat network, but if do not need, then Nakhon Sawan is ok, except air quality. Kanchanaburi is good for living, but horrible air quality as well. Cha Am or Hua Hin 3 hours, is good, but some complain about airquality, I never experienced to bad air the 3 years I lived there. Ao nang Krabi can be great, but rain season can be harshly
