Warning Signs: The Looming Collapse of a Critical Ocean System
Hummin replied to Social Media's topic in World News
I do not say I agree with the solutions the politicians force on us, I just say there is no doubt in mind we contribute to the climate change as other natural cycles does. The truth is we abuse this planet, and contributes to an escalation. What you and me thinks doesn't change the facts -

Dual Pricing in Thai Tourism: Economic Necessity or Hidden Bias?
Hummin replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I wish my country was more like Thailand when it comes to work permits, visas, dual pricing, and generally rights when it comes to become citizens. To easy to milk our system while we who are born in the country have no special beneficial rights superior to any other groups. Thailand do the right thing, protect their valuable land, and citizenship. No work permit, get legal visa for stay, and pay extra for what is considered national parks etc. -

Do you wear a helmet when riding a motorcycle in Thailand?
Hummin replied to MalcolmB's topic in General Topics
Guilty in smaller trips without helmet occasionally, but at once I bought my big bikes, it rarely happened even on scooters. I had full dainese protection, pants, boots and jacket while riding big bikes on tours. Coming from extreme sport environments, you know the rookies come for the freedom of doing ehat they want, with less safety equipment, but the longer you stay or survive in the sport, the more you take safety more serious, and use and do what you can to make sure you have top notch equipment. The less you know, and less you have seen, the more reckless you are. Newbie stupidity -
Dual Pricing in Thai Tourism: Economic Necessity or Hidden Bias?
Hummin replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I have to give right, but still, we talking about Thailand, and we knew before we choosed to become citizens here. Those western who work and live here permanently, do also useally make more money than Thais for same work? I do not say it is true for everyone, but it is for most. Anyway, in my experience, half of the places gives you local prices if you got the pink card. At least those places I have visited the last two years. -

A Mother’s Regret: How Transitioning Affected My Life and Motherhood
Hummin replied to Social Media's topic in World News
I have two friends who where "normal" and started on ssri, who also killed themselves. So suicide doesn't say much really, except people who struggle try many things to get better, and when fail, suicide is one method to escape. When suicide statistics is used to force their way to have something that might not just be a sexual gender "fixations" or confused, or conviction, there is something wrong with the society, and forced upon people, teachers, kids, -
A Mother’s Regret: How Transitioning Affected My Life and Motherhood
Hummin replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Say 25, women's brain is not completely developed before the age of 22, men around 30. Add mental health issues on top of that. It is not an official matter, what sex kids or grown up chooses. And should not be a political matter at all. People have to get used to be what they are, not try to fix something that is not by nature. The whole debate is stupid, and a political suicide. The fully formed brains of women and men are almost the same, but the rate of development is substantially different. Girls reach the halfway point of brain development at 11 years of age and the brain is fully developed at 21-22. Boys reach the halfway point at 15 and the brain does not finish developing until 30. https://cspm.csyw.qld.gov.au/practice-kits/transition-to-adulthood/working-with-young-people/seeing-and-understanding-1/neural-development -

I ride motorbikes, and not 8l sports car or truck for fun. I do my share. It is a political question, not for me to sacrifice myself, because everyone else doesn't get it, and to be honest I wouldn't make any difference, or anyone who stribe to be zero environmental impact. -
Warning Signs: The Looming Collapse of a Critical Ocean System
Hummin replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Coffe time, enjoy reading Forests affect climate in three different ways: they absorb the greenhouse gas – carbon dioxide – from the atmosphere and help keep the planet cool; they evaporate water to the atmosphere and increase cloudiness, which also helps keep the planet cool; and they are dark and absorb sunlight (the albedo effect), warming Edit note: Farmland covered by fruit trees, oil or rubber trees, have no effect at all. We talking about old forest systems which takes 100 of years to rebuild https://phys.org/news/2007-04-tropical-forests-earth-air-conditioner.html -
Warning Signs: The Looming Collapse of a Critical Ocean System
Hummin replied to Social Media's topic in World News
I know, it becomes just pure stupidity, since there is so many chain reactions because of all human activities on the planet, combined with natural cycles, that makes local and global climate changes. Those of us who have been riding motorbikes, know how it feels when you enter an healthy old Forrest and how the temperature drops imidiately just as one little detail. Natural healthy forests is nature's own air-condition system. All rivers full of sediments leading water with higher temperatures as another example -

So the deforestation of Thailand from nearly 80% natural old Forrest to 28% had no impact of the local enviroment in Thailand? The reefs attacked world wide by overfishing, entangled nets destroying them, the pollution, bottom trawling for fish and shell, have no impact at all? Just the rivers goes from clear water, now is muddy and full of sediments, is one thing because of deforestation, -
I'm done now with Agoda, have used them regularly from before covid, and it is just BS how they have become lately. Not worth the hassle anymore.

Chinese Paragliding Dies in Crash in Phetchabun
Hummin replied to Georgealbert's topic in Central Thailand News
Paraglderd is fragile and if not handled correct ounder certain weather/air conditions, you can experience collaps, linetwists, and you will struggle to regain full flight. That's why we have smaller round reserves in case of deleted happens. Since he already was in flight, my best guess an pilot error leading to this fatal accident, and not a rigger/equipment error. -
