I guess 7-11 employees are cheaper than bank tellers. If I were a bank employee I would be very wary of job security. In the next 10 years I would imagine many bank employees will be made redundant. It used to be one of those "jobs for life". Also I would imagine 7-11 don't provide pensions.
Fired bank employees can apply for jobs at 7/11 then. They are "High qualified" for doing bank transactions, but 7/11 customers will have to get a queue number for not to stress these spoilt new employees...

Makes the production of the packages cheaper > more profit for the producers > easy to produce fakes.

Fines for tourists seem to be much to low.
2 days ago in a Chiang Mai checkpoint a backpacker girlie was fined 1000THB for a missing international licence.
She was laughing about the low fine and said that this is the cheapest and easiest way to get permission to drive for 3 days.
She got the tipp about this on a backpacker forum... -

From Wiki
" French and English are official languages, a heritage of Cameroon's colonial past as a colony of both France and the United Kingdom from 1916 to 1960. ... The nation strives toward bilingualism, but in reality very few Cameroonians speak both French and English, and many speak neither. "
And why is this important for this story?

I would say teach them to ride their 1000cc Big Bike when they reach 13.

How stupid must one be to leave so much money and gold in a bag and then stays at another house until 2am ?
I smell a fishy story.
Was it 80.000 ? He would still be dumb like hell... -

And they are still building new hotels...
How many will be co owned by Chinese ?
How many half finished ruins will be around Chiang Mai soon ?
In the same time the Thai consulate denies to give Tourist Visas if travellers can't show 20.000 THB in cash.
Better ask for travel insurances to fix a big problem...

I first visited Pattaya in 1979, they had flooding problems then, now, 40 years later they still have no clue as to how to resolve the problem. I could give them some direction within a few hours, but hey, I don't live there so it doesn't bother me!
But for sure everyone who was in charge the last 40 years drives a Benz or more...

It seems to become a new style of travelling.
Come with a one way ticket + a fake return ticket, waste the money at fullmoon party or in Pai or in ...
Then beg for money to get back to mom and dad (or extend the stay).
Ohh, don't forget to spread the best tricks on fb ! -
