    Jesus. Just watched that.

    1. Scottish man wants/needs to speak the Thai lingo.

    2. Scottish man is very lucky that the Thai guy was a reasonable man.

    3. Scottish man is very fortunate he did not wake up this morning in hospital.

    4. Talking like that, in that tone and volume, on my property, i would have punched the guy. Sorry.

    5. Garage owner should have told the foreign blokes that the car/truck is needed to deliver alcohol.
    6. Foreign blokes would have offered their help bcoz it's an emergency job...

It's not OK in my book for foreigners to do this.

I agree with the OP if you have not got enough money to get home you should never have come, or do what my kids would do, ask ME for the fare to get home, I would (reluctantly) pay  for it, then give him some verbal when he got back!!

Apparently she has some article of clothing she will submit for DNA testing.  But unless it contains semen, and not sweat, she could have picked that up anywhere.

Back home in July, will give the shirt to the police for a DNA test around Christmas ?
Or where are the results if the test happened already ?
Sorry, but my guess is that the story of that princess is b**l***t.

    1) An urban road, at night, partially lit - Its safer to be in the right hand lane as not uncommon at all for motorcyclists (usually drunk) to pull out in to the road without looking, is also not uncommon to have unlit vehicles, motorcycles, sam-lors, or unlit parked trucks etc. Many drivers in Thailand would adopt this 'safer' approach and drive in the right lane for very good reason. The only additional risk of driving in the right lane is proximity to oncoming traffic doing the same thing.

    2) There were already plenty of Thai's on the scene, an additional 'foreigner' would only confuse the issue. What was the Op to do? While we don't know the extent of the motorcyclists injuries it wasn't a major 'impact' accident.

    3) Yep, the Op went through a red light. He didn't 'run' the red light which would imply approaching the junction at normal speed and ignoring it. The Op followed other cars through the red light with caution as traffic in all directions had already stopped for the accident. While not right, it was hardly a 'big danger'.

It seems your post is an unnecessary attempt to shoot down the Op more than anything else.

So you "create" your own traffic rules too ? Biggest respect ...

Bangkoks charm may be considered being enhanced by street vendors but there again,  in few years time it will become the worlds largest floating market when it  becomes flooded.

The VENICE of SE Asia just with lots of plastic bags and rubbish swimming in the "roads" ?
Do the vendors learn to swim in the next few years ? ?

  6. Some Chinese are behaving a bit strange. ?
    (Sure not only the Chinese)
One day in Central the cashier had packed my oats into the plastic bag already, when a Chinese woman next to me took it out again to read the label. When I told her that would not be a really good behaviour she was just laughing about me.
