Interview as reported leaves more questions than answers-

    1. A person renewing a retirement extension of stay prior to  January 2019 would not have 12 months of  deposit transfers since the new rules did not exist  until then

    2.  Since Chonburi is now stating that a Thai Tax return can show income- can one  pay taxes on  480,000 Baht per year (40x12) take all the deductions and exemptions- pay the tax and simply show the tax form and the tax paid receipt and receive their extension?  Same for retirement  800K

    3. What about the Combination method and the seasoning parameters as well as the income flow

    4.  What about the Embassy Letters-  still many out there. Do we need to bring in proof of the income  as stated on the letter?

I am sure the interviewer did the best he could- but there are many unanswered questions that need to be addressed and the whole issue of tax returns   on  income derived outside Thailand needs investigation. Since we are  non Thais- the tax law  gives a flat 15% on accessible income. If it's not accessible if one voluntarily declares it and pays the taxes will this  be enough for the extension?

What if on a Non-B business visa (and work permit) that is renewed every 90 days in a neighbouring country ?
Need to do the TM 30 everytime one comes back to Thailand ?

it seems some folks are just not travel savy  .....  in any country, if someone who you don't even know invites you to any drinking establishment, bar, kareoke, gambling den or otherwise .....  you should smell trouble straight away.

Depends on where ones brain is in this moment.

Completely mad and seemingly quite fast, not expecting that others might be caught by surprise.

In his other life he does that on the scooter.

Next chance would have been to crash in the back of the white truck with this speed in traffic ?
But as long as there are other people to blame, their world is ok.
Their = people who think they are alone on the roads.

Be carefully. Kevin Is a constantly E-beggar who goes from girl to another girl and from beer to beer. I dont think the GoFundMe money will go for threatment, but for fun in bars i Bangkok and to barfines.

He choose not to have insurance. He also choose a private hospital instead of a public hospital. Why is He so much better that ordinary thais?

A friend og me got cancer in Bangkok and went to a public hospital. He has carachter and honor and paid 30 000 B for his own money. No begging.

Kevin really  dont know how poor thai-people really have it.

He is a rich man Who recently sold his house in Spain, He has nice car, and alot of money in bank.

I will also say that the bloke Who creted the GoFundMe account is Worse. He is e-beggar number one and use all his time to chase hookers in Phuket.

These vloggs beggers on YouTube is Worse then cancer. No respect.

    so what   ?

out of the millions that come here and spend money in Thailand every year making them billions (12% of the countries GDP) how many end up with a medical emergency like the OP, it is so insignificant it isn't worth considering, Thailand is dangerous especially on the roads - it is their duty to make it as safe as possible for people who come here for a holiday, it's not as if they haven't had long enough to improve things.

But regardless of that, considering the very small number of people that end up in this sort of situation while here on holiday it is no real big deal (all things considered) for the country to provide free emergency medical assistance to the few that need it, they make huge revenue from tourism how about giving some back when some fall foul of the poor safety.

Not so long ago we had some children that got themselves into trouble in a cave - there was no shortage of foreign volunteers willing to put their lives at serious risk to save them.

You must be from UK ...

Not an emergency Really?  You mean not an emergency for the government, only for  the people The world health organization says it is and so do a number of Professors at some Thai Universities

I guess we half to start dropping like flies before then do something

First then claimed the pollution was from construction sites. They are blaming the roads for being dirty and need to hose them down, not to mention useless water cannons. Even if true which they are not these are remedial, little effective efforts.

You need to start to clean up the factories and motorcycles

One could argue that "gee a motorcycle is so small. Well multiply that by a few million and you have a pollution problem

    Regulate motorcycle emissions Its time

    .

Do you drive a diesel-truck with "upgraded" ECU ???
