  1. I knew you would say that. https://climatecheck.com/risks/flood/coastal-flooding-subsidence-sea-level-rise
  2. Hotels take your passport and photocopy the picture page. Just cut out that step and give them a photocopy. Perhaps keep one copy for yourself.
  3. Part of the roadmap should include reciprocity. I have met Thais with houses in the UK. Land ownership here is never discussed. Naturalization here is another topic.
  4. Wrong way round. Subsidence happens when water rises. Never mind.
  5. I have no contention other than it is well-known that some Pacific islands are disappearing. Perhaps before you make up anything else, read this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sea_level_rise_in_New_Zealand#:~:text=NZ Searise study findings 2022,-The results of&text=of ground levels.-,In some parts of Wellington%2C the land is subsiding by,100 year event in 2020. Subsidence and water rising go hand-in-hand.
  6. Five islands in the Pacific were already submerged by 2011, six more are on the way, being 20% under water at present. https://www.gviaustralia.com.au/blog/disappearing-land-5-pacific-islands/#:~:text=The last of the five,Islands searching for higher ground. https://www.france24.com/en/asia-pacific/20221124-pacific-islands-fight-for-existence-before-rising-sea-levels-swallow-them-up Some parts of Thailand are already being flooded: https://www.abc.net.au/news/2023-08-11/bangkok-is-sinking-residents-warn-rising-seas-will-swallow-city/102559364 But I guess a smart guy like you already knew that.
  7. Weirdly, global warming was predicted as a trend. Oceans will rise, flooding Pacific islands and Bangkok. I guess no one will agree others were right until we are all dead.
  8. It seems that no one believes that Big Joke is never found guilty because he is innocent.
  9. I don't suppose signing treaties to link the criminal databases of countries is on the cards. For an immigration officer to have access to incoming tourists' criminality after a swipe of the passport could be useful.
  10. Counterfeiting has been going on for centuries. People used to wait at the docks in America to get the latest Charles Dickens novel then produce counterfeit copies. It does go down as laws become stronger.
  11. Can't imagine them accessing the poor. "How do I get money?" "Open your laptop." "Don't have one." "Contact us after you buy one." " Can I borrow the money to buy a laptop?"
  12. GMC is clear that activism is fine, it's the criminal convictions it is wary of.
  13. What do you know? What's next is leprosy in Florida I guess: https://www.sciencealert.com/experts-warn-leprosy-isnt-ancient-history-as-cases-surge-in-the-us
  14. Someone should have told him Buddha died over two millennia ago and was extinguished from the universe. Asking him for anything seems pointless.
  15. Are there any countries that allow you to work without a work permit? Just thinking that I don't know of any, which doesn't mean there aren't any.
  16. I don't see how we can communicate with alien civilizations as the maximum speed attainable is that of light. If we have enough money to put colonies in other planets, we should have enough to save this planet first.
  17. Didn't Biden receive about 7 million votes more than Donnie?
  18. No offense but if you want to make an immigration officer really angry prove that he is wrong. Perhaps have a friendly chat with his boss without accusing anyone. Just a suggestion.
  19. What is Thailand status in innovation? How many innovations originated in Thailand? What have Thais created? This is so puzzling as I cannot think of anything invented here.
  20. Good question. Companies that own machinery (that is not AI) pay taxes on the results of manufacturing so I reckon that is what will happen.
