  1. Some people might not be able to get this in Thailand, so they would have to travel back home just for such a requirement.
  2. Probably all will have to attend a full-body exam to determine whether they have tattoos, and how many, and all applicants will have to prove that they don't own a Harley Davidson... Just a Big Joke, for now, but who knows.
  3. Plus, I can maybe find reviews in English, or, otherwise, paste and copy them into Google Translate. The only English words one can get out of (incompetent and useless) staff at shops are: "No English..."
  4. That's because people at the TAT truly believe not only that tourists learn Thai before travelling here, but also that they come here to visit temples, and for spa treatments...
  5. Only if many people joined. Not likely to happen in Thailand.
  6. That's just one reason why I wouldn't do it (besides heights dizziness), cause all those people in front and behind me would add extra stress to this.
  7. I never cared much about Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, etc. I used to follow forums on Facebook, but found FB more and more boring, not to mention all those angry posts of people who think they have a monopoly on 'truth'... Nowadays I mostly stick to news websites, this forum, other Thailand-related websites, etc., as well as to YouTube where I watch mostly history documentaries, talk shows, and old TV series. Sometimes I download TV shows via torrenting (recently "The Mandalorian", "TWD Dead City", and "Friends"). I rarely buy things online these days, unlike at the height of the pandemic when I often bought stuff, and I find online dating to be more and more meaningless and a waste of time.
  8. Yes, exactly my guess too. Most probably just a sales pitch, stating outdated rules. But then again, who knows...
  9. Phew! The rest of the country is safe then...
  10. I added a visa agency Line contact last year, and just got this "info" as part of a promotional message: " ???? Please be remind that you can stay in Thailand with tourist visa type not more than 180 days per year calendar. Let's check your passport asap????????.????‍???? (...)"
  11. Yes, that's why I am planning to go the other way in a few years. Not getting younger, my plan is to reestablish myself back home, then coming back for shorter holidays.
  12. And I doubt that there will be much more protest activity even if Pita is not elected PM. The masses are kept under control...
  13. Imagine the people demonstrating ate more rice! There would be less to export, so, perhaps, Thailand would lose its top rice-export spot, and, consequently, face...
  14. Fits with Thailand's practice to keep imports low...
  15. China has been 'open' for about half a year now, but still there are way less Chinese tourists in Thailand than pre-pandemic.
  16. Probably no demand for their rubber-cheese burgers, so, perhaps, they came up with this PR strategy. Getting rid of all the *+×^*^, if people actually ordered this, as a bonus...
  17. Chuwit is wrong. They found an easier way! No need to overthrow Pita as PM if he doesn't even get elected...
  18. I recently signed up for 'Rabbit LINE Pay', and paid once for a bill. However, suddenly my "Access to your account has been restricted by the service provider..." - Anyone else having such issues with Rabbit Line Pay?
  19. My money is not on Pita... Make no mistake, I wish him well, but I still don't believe that they will let him become PM. At least not today,
  20. They expect around 10 billion tourists, so, basically, everyone on planet Earth travelling 1.5 times each year to Thailand, generating a tourism income of 1 trillion zillion baht, effectively making Thailand the richest place in the galaxy, well 5% of Thailand's population anyway...
  21. I'm sure the dot in 68.5 million was just a little smudge on the original proposal, so, knowing TAT optimism, they are probably expecting 685 million tourists, incl. 500 million or so from China...
