  1. Southeast Asia, yes! Not necessarily to Thailand, though...
  2. Someone must have told them that Australians are not free to travel abroad on Nov. 1. However, no-one told them about China's outbound restrictions.
  3. If America has to fight a war with China because of Taiwan, this time they'll have to 'fight' (well, scare those Thai soldiers with a loud "booh"), Thailand, as I'm sure Thailand will side with the PRC...
  4. They did a pretty decent job with their Covid jab registry. If they can get the same programmers, it might actually work out.
  5. Wasn't there talk about 1 night in an ASQ hotel? So, I guess, they'd bus arrivals every 2 hours, or so, to such a hotel, where they would have to wait for the test results.
  6. That's 86.58% in favour (94+88+90÷π), according to my complimentary TAT calculator...
  7. The UK probably uses one. So the hotel for 6 nights might be because of 3 tests, unlike Thailand's 1 test.
  8. I'm pretty sure the deciding factor for the list was 'most tourists in 2019', which would explain 'China, U.S., UK, and Germany'. One exception is Malaysia (large number of visitors, too), probably because the pandemic is worse there than in Thailand.
  9. Has this insurance got a track record of being accepted for entering Thailand?
  10. They are recycled. If you go to the Immigration office for a visa extension, you will have to sign a paper that you "won't overstay". On the flip side you can see the copied data page and latest visa page of another foreigner.
  11. 1. China 2. PRC 3. Big Brother to the North 4. China, too 5. U.S.A. 6. America 7. England 8. UK 9. Germany 10. Singapore
  12. And you won't know the full details until Oct. 29th or 30th... I don't see airports being very busy the first November week, certainly not the International Arrivals sections.
  13. Maybe they misinterpreted rising inflation as a sign of economic recovery. I wouldn't be surprised if there was no Thai word for 'stagflation'...
  14. So how would they check foreign policies in a foreign language at the airport, and I'm not talking about COEs/Thai embassies, but airport Immigration officers in a post-Covid world?
  15. Shouldn't be a problem to attract 15 million tourists from these countries, maybe even a million rich residents for Thailand...
  16. They will probably go for the 'easy' money from China. Some Chinese are keen to 'get their money out of China', for whatever reasons.
  17. That's exactly what I'm worried about! Forced to sign a 100,000US$ health insurance policy (incl. Covid) with a Thai insurer, but once you need it, you find out it's not worth the paper it's written on, and you have to pay by yourself anyway.
  18. I partly agree. That short-sighted article at the beginning of the pandemic didn't help. Every informed person knows by now that the "mutated bat virus" can't even make a bat sick. 'Things' were going on in China as early as September 2019. (I recommend watching an excellent documentary by Sky News Australia on YouTube about "What Really Happened in Wuhan").
  19. I never did. I just pointed out that vaccines' efficacy fades over time. As for links for what I actually wrote (probably you'll call Reuters' news and "The Lancet" medical journal articles "false" too): https://www.reuters.com/business/healthcare-pharmaceuticals/pfizerbiontech-covid-19-vaccine-effectiveness-drops-after-6-months-study-2021-10-04/ https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lancet/article/PIIS0140-6736(21)02183-8/fulltext https://www.healthline.com/health-news/what-we-know-about-how-long-the-pfizer-and-moderna-covid-19-vaccines-work https://www.forbes.com/sites/roberthart/2021/08/25/vaccine-protection-wanes-within-six-months-of-second-covid-shot-study-warns-but-theyre-still-effective-against-delta/?sh=793afef35a80 https://www.euronews.com/next/2021/08/25/covid-vaccine-protection-fades-after-6-months-according-to-uk-researchers Sometimes you should try 'Mr. Google' for better information, rather than just misinterpreting members' posts and bashing them.
  20. That's true for the first few weeks after double-vaccination. However, your protection shrinks to half or less after only half a year.
  21. Or cancel last minute, and... "Sorry, no refunds for your hotel and tour bookings..."
