    ... already ignored 😎

there's a clue in the thread title, it says 'debate' :whistling:

christ and you started it, debate much? :cheesy:

I'll leave you with some recent news from Europe, October 14

PARIS (AP) — Four people have died in a car crash in France after their Tesla vehicle reportedly hit a road sign and caught fire, police said Monday.

A local police spokesman, Lt. Eric Hoarau, said the exact circumstances of the crash Saturday night near the city of Niort were still to be determined and an investigation was underway.

“Everything suggests (the vehicle) came off the road,” Hoarau said, citing marks on the ground and a severed road sign.

There were no witnesses, he said, making the investigation complicated.

The driver and three passengers were burnt beyond recognition, he said.

Tesla did not immediately reply to a request for comment.

Could it be there are >46% more EV's on the road?  Not enough information there Sherlock.

it's hilarious this website, it appears lots are 'confused' by English and statistics....

and if you try and have a 'conversation' you get branded a troll or someone deletes your posts

hmmmm, nothing to be gained here anymore

UK fire services attended 46% more fires linked to lithium-ion batteries in 2023 than 2022, according to new research from business insurer QBE

battery could well be screwed on something that old.....they don't want you to use old stuff, obsolescence is built in.....

re the auctions, you want a PROPER PUTER and hard wire it.....

unless you're doing the auctions for a living/profit, are you sure it's not an addiction/boredom? in my many years of buying stuff, some incredible bargains on new stuff if you're prepared to wait, plus the boomers selling off hardly used stuff on faceache marketplace

Since neither of the replies were actually in anyway helpful I will look into it myself. There are companies (agents) that will deal with the customs people to import vehicles.

Yes their is a tariff on motor scooters but it is not that much unlike cars.

k, we are trying to help brah.....

enlighten us, what are the tarifs on scooters compared to importing 'other motorcycles'?

there are some crazy deals on 'lightly crashed' things in the UK, alas I heard that's an 'insider only trade' in LOS

edit: an agent will 'screw yer eyeballs out'...says the chap who imported FIVE brand new cars for himself from THREE different cuntries

  7. has an ICE car ever sunk a ship?? :cheesy:

    examples:

FRANKFURT/TOKYO -- Japanese marine shipping group O.S.K. Lines has filed a lawsuit against Porsche, blaming an electric-vehicle battery for a fire that sank a car carrier two years ago

A blaze on a cargo ship carrying nearly 3,000 vehicles off the Dutch coast has killed one person and injured several others, with coastguards warning that the fire could last for several days

A cargo ship carrying nearly £300 million worth of supercars has sunk off the Azores Islands in the North Atlantic Ocean after a fire spread among the electric batteries

I think you may have forgotten that EV's are between 12 and 130 times LESS likely to catch fire than an ICE car.

FORD, you're making me laugh, try a serious EV manufacturer like BYD or Tesla.

source for that totally bizarre statistic?

Ford were the great pioneers and made some amazing cars over the years......as much as I'm not a fan of 'lardy arse cars' I think it's really sad seeing their demise

sign of the times I suppose, good luck to chi-na lol

Come on you anti-EV'ers, wake up & smell the coffee

shouldn't that be 'wake up and smell the burning bones' when they spontaneously combust on you/ignite during a crash :shock1:

that's certainly what's been happening in europe; do they actually survive in the heat over there?

in other news, FORD still losing BILLIONS on EVs.....not really working out as planned is it??

I couldn't connect my phone via Bluetooth without disconnecting my watch (software bug)? I also couldn't get google maps to work i guess the truck needs a sim card.

I tried the camping mode whatever its called. Basically its supposed to recline the seat shut the engine and run the ac. Be warned you should remove your seat belt because it started to strangle me. Also the seat needs to be moved backwards as after i freed myself from strangulation it tried to crush my knees. Im sure software will fix some of these issues.

wow, sounds incredible......and dangerous too

Right. Russia and China are keen about it. Now will "normal" exporters accept to be paid in Rubles and plenty of other currencies? That's another story.

And anyway, as I said, there's no prospect of BRICS becoming a trade zone.

crypto boss, nowt to do with rubles.....

they are already doing 'business'......where do you think the russian oil is all going?

AND why are the US buying billions of enriched uranium from Russia still? hypocrisy much?

Does anyone know a company that imports models that are not sold in Thailand.

I would like a Yamaha Smax step through 150cc scooter. They are sold in India, Malaysia, the Philippines and US I think and won scooter of the year in the UK.

didn't Thailand impose large import tarifs on such stuff???

if you fancy I'll meet up with you in India to buy a couple of cheap bikes and we can ride back to LOS

alas there is a civil war going on in Myanmar so errr yeah, probs not worth the risk

Thanks. I use windows 11. I am a user. I always thought that the only "administrators" sit in Silicone Valley or Coppertino.

Honestly, to high for me. Scary, what one must do to re-establish control over ones computer.

Appearantly, no big deal for Internet users. No outrage! "Eat what Bill Gates serves you for dinner" and be happy that Bill allowes you to be part of his universe.

Bill is clearly one of those control freaks, I used to work for his merry bunch, once profitable, now I am enlightened...or I think so

what do I use which has enabled me to be pretty much problem free for over a decade?

linux, any browser and ublock origin.....the adblock guy sold out to some scummy corporate bozos so that became no good too

why are you using a VPN? it just changes your location, it doesn't make you 'safer' despite the PR

proven by whom exactly, big pharma funded scientists and researchers?

poinless arguing with them, total denial........the human race should be disgusted with itself the amount of harm and damage that has been caused....

I guess that's what happens when arrogance and 'the science' thinks it knows better than 1000s of years work from mother nature....

anyway, too much money in cures and websites eh? :shock1:

My office told me I cannot get a 60 day extension to visit wife from a  60 day VE, they gave me 30 days and told me to do a border run to get a 60 day next time.

For info to others, that was at Ubon office....

I did ask a lot of 'why' questions, to no avail....🥴

hold on, so you've got a Thai wife and you're still not allowed to stay there?

wow, I hope she was worth it

It says it goes 100kph, I don't think I can be brave enough to trust that thing doing 100 on the road..., would you..? 😜

It's amazing technology though..., just keeping the balance and up right , useful for having a few beers and going home on this, no fine I guess... 🍻😅

that's fine mate til the hackers get hold of it.......or a 'software bug' drives the thing into a self-driving car coming the other direction at 100kmh

I live in Chiang Mai. As it happens I'm in the market to buy a secondhand bike now. Many bikes here were submerged in mud and water for several days.

If the bike is cleaned up... And a mechanic ensures it was cleaned and prepared before starting. Will that bike be just as good as pre flood?

If not... What the warning signs?

I once bought a flood damaged BMW car....shoulda known better lol

I suppose it might be different with a bike IF I knew no water had entered the engine

I also suppose it's easier with a bike to 'tip it up' and let the water drain out the exhaust pipe lol

have you got a website you can post? as it happens I'm looking for a motorbike......I'm currently in europe and I'm pondering if/when I next go to Thailand and what sort of motorbike I should buy

I'm a iightweight so I only need something like a CFMoto 450MT/NK.......the chinese are leaving the ROW behind with their tech/price offerings at the moment...it looks like CFMoto/Voge etc don't have much of a presence in Thailand sadly
