Only serious answers and comments please.
Your previous posts relate to non O retirement and also other visas options.
So you currently have a PE visa?
When did you obtain the PE visa?
Why not ask that company for support advice.

Stick to thread heading.

OP, the letter (eg sample from Mark above) can be hand written.
Are we sure HCMC is issuing multiple entries?
Haven't seen report for some time.
Savannakhet does.

Is this an area specific new requirement? When I switched from wife to retirement extension the wife was no where to be seen, and rightfully so.
Not area specific. Your immigration office for unknown reason overlooked that requirement.
Wife needs to attend.
For further extensions not required

Have what I need now.
Jomitien does not require most recent TM47 however if you have that then include it in your docs.

I've been to Savannakhet a couple times this year. Things change depending on who's sitting behind the window and how they feel that day. To more or less guarantee a Non-O Multiple based on Marriage have the money seasoned for 2 months .... in a Thai bank account. If less, you might be stuck with a Single entry.
Good summary.
Without the funds seasoned for 2 months may need to accept single entry non O offer

You answered with a link to a topic about how to apply for legetimaztion but this isn't what the poster asked about.
Nonetheless this is required for extension based on support of Thai child.
The OP will realize this when applies for 12 month extension.

Some reports that without seasoned funds obtained a non O marriage (single entry) as multi requirement not satisfied.

Another issue is that I am NOT living with my son, he stays with his mother nearby. Is this an issue? We are separated but I see him often....

Is Savannakhet better option than Vientiane?
Vientiane requires and appointment
This attached thread link shows process time and appointment link.
It's book well in advance.
Savannakhet recently moved to appointment requirement..
Seems for the multi many folk go to Savannakhet.

Can anyone tell me if this is still feasible and will they still allow one day border crossings on this visa?
OP, you have good advice above and the OP in that link provides very detailed report.
You will required money in bank account 400k and an appointment and no will not be done in a day.

This topic is completely off the rails.
A simple thread to inform visa exempt entries are currently 30 days.
In other threads of current border bounce that land borders also remain at 30 days.

It is still just 400k in bank for a few days while doing the process?
Thinking now 2 months for multi.
OP in this next thread suggests 400b for 2 months

It has been established that currently visa exempt entry provides 30 day stamp.
Nothing to see here.

If one can it's a no brainer. Far less faffing around, no home visits, same day approval for extensions etc.
Also if one gets divorced one doesn't have all the obvious problems with an extension based on being married.
The OP gave no indication of why the change.
Also did not mention divorce in the picture.
Granted some married guys over 50 opt for extensions based on retirement, however I certainly would not refer to it as a no brainer.
Retirement requires 800k 2 months prior and 3 month post application.
Not below 400k other months.
The lost opportunity cost is not insignificant.
BTW, OP....if seasoning of funds is an issue obtain 60 day extension to visit wife if you have not already used that.

With retirement it needs to be 3 months before submitting & then allow another 30 days for approval ?
Funds must be in bank for 2 months prior to application.
The 30 days you refer to is under consideration period for extension based on marriage.

Marriage extension valid until 10 August 2024 but I will only have the 800K in the bank approx 2 months prior to 10 August.
The 800k needs to be in bank for two months prior to day of application.
Why change from based on marriage?
