OP, do you have a Thai bank account in your name only?
Which immigration office will you deal with?

This year end I will switch to pension income basis
If you plan to use income method why have any money in a Thai bank.
65k per month and you can use it as you wish.

Thanks everyone now I know I must look employ help from experienced agent sigh.
Just a heads up...all the car/bike joints (agents) such as Fat Boys and BSR bikes in Bangkok cannot assist you with certificate of residence.
Some embassies can supply equivalent but 3 embassies do not.
The agents in Pattaya can provide a residence certificate but that's not much help for you.

OP, you won't be able to obtain a certificate of residence from CW.
That office requires to have made a TM47 (90 day report)
On visa exempt not possible.
Even if it was, the process takes approx one week.
It's mailed out.
No instant service available

I think a extension is only possible if you come into TH with a non-O visa. Visa exempt should not be possible!!!!
Why nobody says something to this?
That's incorrect.
A non O based on retirement or marriage can be obtained at Thai immigration from a visa exempt or tourist visa entry.
For tourist visa entry you use form TM86 and visa exempt entry TM87..
Here is forms requured.

I beg to differ, if the OP is flying from DMK to KL.
Where did he mention fly to KL from DMK
He stated....
"Following that, I'll be travelling south and likely exiting Thailand on a ferry into Malaysia where I'm not confident they'll have the option to get a re-entry permit."

When I cross into Thailand from Lao, would Thai Immigration be able to issue a re-entry permit?
How would you be entering Thailand visa wise.
Clearly you don't have current reentry permit?
Do you plan to enter Thailand visa exempt?

Is it possible to get a Re-Entry Permit while crossing the land border into Thailand from Lao?
Don't understand. You do not obtain a reentry permit when ENTERING Thailand. Ask Thai immigration when you enter
8 minutes ago, Jaymatheson said:Alternatively, is it possible to get one at Don Mueang Airport without departing on an international flight?
No

It is better to stay 6-7 months without leaving the country, and have some months in between the trips.
How do you stay in Thailand for 7 months without leaving the country.
The topic concerns visa exempt entries.

I've did 270 days on visa exempt + 30 day extensions in 2022, albeit that was helped with a 60 day covid extension. No problems (all entries by air)
Stated almost like a badge of honor.
I would suggest a better option would be a non O retirement plus subsequent annual extensions a better option.
However here againawith a visa exempt entry which as you point out is working for you.

Maybe a copy of my condo Chanote ?
Last thing I would be showing immigration on arrival entering visa exempt is copy of the items you mention.

Any ideas about needing to use the 800k for *first* extension, before using 65k for subsequent?
Assuming your embassy does not provide "income letter" (UK,USA,AU) you would need to provide 12 month of 65k+ transfers.
As noted in earlier posts, some immigration offices will be fine with the monthly transfers being from overseas and and not interested in funds from pension etc.
An io from CW told me she wants to see some proof of pension.
With that in mind I changed my super funds to "income stream". Meaning set amount every month.
However I have decided to use agent moving forward

Read your link, the guy never left the country on his '2nd passport' ( without entry stamp ).
You are misunderstanding the quote I was correcting.

Is it to the discretion of the immigration officier ? I can't find any indication or guideline that says I basically cannot do this forever.
It's about length of time between visits.
Your OP seems to indicate stay 30 days visa exempt and bounce out for short period wash and repeat.
Eventually you will be denied entry.
Thailand has many visas available for longer stay such as METV
The question of how many visa exempt is too many is posted on weekly basis.
Boring

Is it possible to extend a 1 year extension with further 60 days at local immigration office?
Yes
18 minutes ago, bkkthai said:Next will be to get a new Non O visa or convert visa exempt to Non O visa and the to 1 year extension.
So you can't currently meet the 400k requirement for annual extension.
Enough from me. Seems you are aware of your options.
Purpose of thread?

I was thinking more of denied renewal of visa 🤷♂️
Your statement makes no sense.
Visas are not "renewed"
Application for extension of permission of stay is available.
A denied extension would have very clear reasons.
Most common would be financial requirements

The frustrating thing is that there seems to be no appeals procedure. Maybe there is but it’s not advertised and I don’t imagine it would get you anywhere other than deported 😂😂
There is an appeal form for denied entry.

This thread is so run off topic.
The OP is a simple account of self check in equated with zero contact for check in and onward flight not required.

new passport because the current one has too many stamps
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Posted
He will not have any issue entering Thailand visa exempt after 6 months out.
BTW: a new pp would change nothing.
