  1. When is funeral and how long after the funeral do you want to stay in Thailand.
  2. From visa exempt to Non O you use TM87. To exit Thailand and return you require a reentry permit. You don't "hold the visa".... Obtaining the Non O simply gives you a 90 day stamp. The reentry permit allows you to reenter Thailand during that permission of stay.
  3. You can do both. From visa exempt entry you can obtain 60 day extension to visit family. You can obtain a Non O that obviously has other requirements such as financials etc. Assume that you have Thai bank account in your name only? How many days remaining on current permission of stay?
  4. Think you will find that in general Immigration offices will not accept bank statements that can be downloaded from eg banking app. They require statements provides by bank with the stamps etc
  5. CW in recent years has shown a shift towards requiring 12 month bank statements. For those with a dedicated bank account for immigration it can be as simple as a month or two of no transactions. They almost looking for excuse. For those using day to day account immigration can claim consolidated transactions. By all means folk can continue with the photocopies of bankbook etc. For the sake of 200b bank statement I recommend that good option moving forward. I obtain mine day prior to application. First many years bank book only.
  6. I'm pretty hopeless on LTR. Several guys have posted how helpful BOI have been re inquires etc. Even via email. Someone with a LTR may advise.
  7. That won't work. They would want stamp transfer done prior to next extension. It's not just stamps that are transferred. It's also reference/info of your visa that's transferred.
  8. Do nothing. No consequences She should know how to provide a TM30 and it's a joke she brushed you off. Tip for folks in general. Prior to renting somewhere make sure a TM30 will be filed.
  9. It is a pain and imo a flaw in the bureaucracy of stamp transfer. I need to travel with both pp as my reentry permit was issued at DMK and CW immigration won't touch it.
  10. You only do a TM47 when you stay in Thailand for continuous 90 days. When you exit and reenter the clock restarts. I didn't do a TM47 for my first 7 years in Thailand due to frequent travel abroad. In your case you will ignore the 90 report as the clock resets. Eventually you will do one in person
  11. CW may transfer stamps. However generally it's done where the stamps were issued. TM6 not required rather TM30 required. The "certificate from embassy" is short statement that was provided along with the new pp. Basically directing Thai immigration to transfer stamps. Some embassies no longer provide that. Skip it.
  12. Stamps should be transferred at immigration office where they were issued. There is no appointment for transfer of stamps at CW. Here is form for stamp transfer to new passport. At bottom is listed required docs. https://aseannow.com/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=995063&key=4ad28e64c063398b61d0a726240743c6 Note: Not listed is CW new requirement to provide photocopies of bank book back to last extension+ updated bb for those on extensions such as retirement.
  13. Here is form CW use. A TM30 sufficient. A lease if you have one. A TM47 for that immigration office if you have one. https://aseannow.com/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=439173 Yes valid for 30 days. Embassy letter longer however not an option. My understanding is currently not an issue with appointments. BSR bikes or other agent could obtain slot for TDL appointment. I would obtain the COR first. It should take 5-7 days from CW to be mailed to you. If you are doing both car + bike the land office will accept one original and photocopy. For appointment advice have read of this https://www.motorist.co.th/en/article/2580/how-to-book-a-driver-s-licence-appointment-through-dlt-smart-queue-2025-update
  14. CW does ask for hand drawn map. It does not need to be entire route from condo to immigration. Just from condo to main intersection. They are not too fussy about the map. You should not require a witness at CW. Also you might find this thread useful for extension requirements. Clear OP. https://aseannow.com/topic/1253640-marriage-extension/#elControls_17249171_menu
  15. And for the last time.... Irrelevant to the OP as his second post stated... ", in Bangkok it was a lot easier and quicker for me to go to the Canadian Embassy than to Immigration at Chaeng Wattana" Clearly the OP does not use an agent for his extension. He will now attend CW for the COR.
  16. Prior to DTV for those under 50 or not married to a Thai national, there were very few options for longer stays in Thailand. Sure the METV provided up to 9 months. Some resorted to ED visa of even volunteering visa. The DTV created an option..
  17. Be aware that the immigration official that does the 90 day report for you will also do the COR. She will do the TM47 first, photocopy the receipt and then do the COR. You can make appointment for the 90 report on the link I posted. After you choose a date the time slots open. Go desk far right side where tickets issued. The io will call the desk and you will be seen straight away.. Appointments made up to month early. Note: previously to obtain a COR from CW you had to have made a TM47. That is no longer the case. You can obtain one on tourist visa and even visa exempt
  18. Show me where OP mentioned that he used agent for extension. Your tangent was just that. He mentioned more time/trouble at CW. Does not indicate use of agent for extension. That's a nonsense. In recent times CW provide option for appointment. As I posted 200b Obtaining same at embassy much more expensive and poor option. OP.. here is appointment at CW for COR https://bangkok.immigration.go.th/en/onlineservice-and-publicguide/
  19. No you are not. Several posts are poor advice . @TerraplaneGuy attend your local immigration office for COR.. Obviously you need a TM30 at very least. Which immigration office?
  20. I'm sure that a joke. At CW a COR is available for 200b that includes postal delivery. Usually 5 day turn around. CW has now made appointments available for that. How much did you pay at embassy? Poor option . @BenCrew your posts are poor advice.
  21. Just a guess. Since income letters will/are not available now from Canadian embassy then in line with UK, USA, AU etc doubt address verification will be provided. Poor option in any event. Obtain COR from local immigration office
  22. Bunch of off topic/offensive posts and replies removed.
  23. Was thinking that. Point is for Canadians using income method we need to see what "transition" to perhaps money in bank will be required.
