It was less than 2K baht to get out and I was obliged to buy a ticket for approx 25K baht too.
Johnny...just for the many members that read these threads. Can you give more detail. So many post of people being detained in rooms with bunks.
Then you state you paid 2k to get out and ticket 25k.
2k to who. Also who purchased 25k ticket. That is done past pp control.
What's that all about?

DO you think there is a possibility they won't accept me in KL?
OP, more experienced members can advise more accurately. I'm so not familiar with Russian pp rights and also KL.
Not wish to worry you more than you are already.... however thread few months ago fella entered swampy with visa by the way. Denied entry. Returned to Saigon. Rejected and then flew to UK

yes. Royal Jordanian,
I have resisted post on this thread. Listen to the positive members. You will be flown back KL most likely tomorrow. Try and relax in very stressful situation. Concentrate on your next step. You need plan path from kl to Russia if they not accept you kl.
If somehow you can obtain flight KL to Asian country then that's an option to consider next step.

You are free to change your mind after leaving the airport, nobody cares if you stay somewhere else.
If you stay at somebody's condo the owner / housemaster of this condo has to report your stay at his condo to immigration within 24 hours by submitting a TM30.
In case you rent a condo in your name, then you could be deemed the "posessor", and in this case you also have the obligation to submit a TM30 (only one TM30 required, if the landlord reports you, you don't have to do another TM30. But in case the landlord does not report you, you should report yourself)
Your over thinking this. The OP comes across as TOURIST. He needs to do nothing unless he is attending imm. Perhaps for a 30 day extension to setv.

Thanks for the replies. Really not at all easy to find what is happening on this subject - too much info, some of which is conflicting. Maybe time for a "pinned" topic?
Anyway, I use CW immigration, have a "non-O" stay based on retirement (will go for renewal in Nov) and have never filed a TM30 registration. Can I submit something at immig when I arrive BKK, or soon after? Presume it will take some time for the registration to do on-line? Also. I doubt I have the necessary docs with me as they are in BKK.
thanks again, RS
There will not be pinned topic as various imm office have too many different requirements.
You cannot submit "something at imm" at airport. You need submit tm30 within 24 hr upon return to your condo.
Online registration has many posts and include difficulty in registering. You can also do postal tm30.
Or you can pay 800baht fine from no file tm30 upon your next visit to CW. Most likely for next extension.
As I posted first up... this is all mentioned/discussed in zillion threads.

You do not need do anything. Your on a setv. Just enjoy your stay. At some point if you need attend immigration for example to extend your visa 30 days, then best make sure your tm30 was done.

arithai12, I take my hat off to you. You took time to type detailed and correct reply. I'm a grumpy old man.
Other members will have better understanding reading your post. As you pointed out...so much depends on your "status" in los. Tourist visa...non o.. .etc..etc. Also which office your dealing with and reason for visit.
I just took chill pill. AKA rum/coke.

So 7 pages. How many posts specifically to do with Thai visas etc. Its slid in on back of money in bank requirements, which has hardly been remotely mentioned. Its a finance chat. Poor one at that.

Hi so if you put the address on your visa application then you go to stay somewhere else and go to immigration to do the TM30 what happens will they except it
What visa are you applying for. Meaning what visa to enter Thailand. Why would you be going to immigration. I mean apart from the tm30 you mention.

No offense but you did not try. So many current threads on this its a joke. Try reading just some. All your answers are within.

Every time a passport is scanned a search is made against name, date of birth and nationality. Any matches give the IO the chance to link new and old passports.
Elvia,...I don't have link to post I referred to. Not clear on detail but this guy had two passports. Think one German and other whatever. Thing is different names. Never heard that before. His point was all history came up. Meaning referenced by date of birth and other details excluding name?

Maybe from the pictures they take.
Don't think so. Thinking its connecting date of birth and other stuff like that.
Really I don't know.
BTW bit of useless info...
I fly in out lot. Recently I had reason to instantly turn around back to io. Still on her screen was entry just now along with previous picture of my last entry. Side by side. Bit surprised.

I get that, but isn't it on record that it's a rejected application?
I'm a learner so realize i have limited knowledge. Thing is its just a application. Its not a blue stamp at border, overstay note etc etc.

Always wondered about this, Dr. J.
Isn't the 7 days to get out considered just as bad?
No because you apply prior to until date of current extension. Means you don't move into overstay basket.
Its not an issue.

So in other words, yes? ????
Yes. Just explaining bit more detail. You apply knowing it will be rejected. Then be given 7.
Good for folk needing slightly longer.
Some folk may suggest just paying 7 day overstay at airport. Problem is overstay stamp. Not good.

You apply, it will be rejected but you will be given 7 days to get out.

Yes, that's what I meant, but surely it's only a matter of time before before all entry points get biometrics.
For sure. I was bit surprised current post in another current thread, chap mentioned he had 2 passports.... anyway both histories came up on io screen bkk airport. Found that surprising. Linked by details?
-
2 minutes ago, Leaver said:
You will be fine, but getting a new passport, as a way around a passport history, is coming to an end, as biometrics now compliment travel document checks.
Leaver, I think that the new passport only gives you a better chance at border crossing. At airports bkk (op entering bkk airport), think your whole history comes up even with new pp.

If you go there and are frugal like me, put BusMap on your smartphone and enjoy the cheap prices of the bus network all over the city. Bus from the airport to district one cost 20,000VND (or $1 US).
So true BritMan.
OP when you exit look to right. Yellow bus 109 goes to district 1. Even has WiFi on bus. Ha

Brilliant. So if someone is denied entry and sent to "waiting room" aka holding cell, they can pay 2k walk about with a jack/coke and book a fly out ticket.
