  1. Now, the most worrying condition is his heart, she said. However, there has been no plan to transfer him to a private hospital. As for the request for royal pardon, it will be left to the discretion of her father.

The lawyer Winyat Chartmontri, who accompanied Ms. Paetongtarn to hospital said he did not meet Mr. Thaksin and did not know his latest condition. His daughter met him alone. Regarding the request for royal pardon, it is still in the preparation stage, and it is not specified when it will be submitted. (TNA)

  3. He must be well enough to leave his hospital bed.

The Department of Corrections will allow no more than ten close family members, lawyers or relatives to visit former inmate #Thaksin on Monday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the VVIP room on the 14th floor of the Maha Bhumibol Rachanusorn Building, Police Hospital.

Thats incorrect....   warmer air rises, cooler air falls, when there is no breeze the air closest to the body is heated up... so a fan will move the warmer air off the body and bring in cooler air...

All moot anyway - there is no way Thaksin is in a 'fanned room'....

Rumor has it that he was never at the Police hosptial - there are no public photos of him there.

But... reporters have apparently been to the Police hospital and gone up to the VIP floor, there is no security and there is apparently AC...  So... there is a lot of BS floating around.

The Corrections Department noted that images of Thaksin during his treatment are protected by law and may not be disseminated.

  6. Pol Lt Gen Dr Sopnarush Singhajaru, Surgeon General of Police General Hospital, said former PM Thaksin Shinawatra is treated like any other inmate at the hospital.

Thaksin isn't in a premium royal suite or an air-conditioned room, but due to age and medical reasons, he's exempt from handcuffs as per the law.

He said the room treating Thaksin was converted from a former Covid patient room. Thaksin engages with doctors but retains high blood pressure, he added.

The police cordoned off the 14th floor for security. Pol Maj Gen Nakarin Sukontawit stated they aid Corrections officials in safeguarding Thaksin and deny rumors of another hospital transfer.

  8. If anybody is considering visiting Thaksin tomorrow to say 'HI, welcome home' then you'll be out of luck:

Bangkok Remand Prison has announced that there will be no in-person prisoner visits on Tuesday, coinciding with the anticipated arrival of former PM Thaksin Shinawatra in Thailand.

The prison has stated that they expect a crowd of people to gather at their premises on that day.

This is also what I wonder about?

Does anybody believe even one word of what comes out of their mouths?

It's coincidence that he comes back on the same day of the PM election.

In case the PM won't be elected it will also be coincidence that he doesn't come on that day.

He wants to take care of his grandchildren - in the prison cell?

He has nothing to do with PT and Thai politics.

Bla bla bla - nobody even tries to make up somehow believable excuses.

Thaksin arriving at approx 0900hrs, voting for PM approx 1700hrs.

I find that impossible for Thaksin to cancel his trip, if the new PM is not elected,
