The one on the pumps is a TH16R2, I think that was the first one I ever bought. The one on the modem is a S31TBP, it has the dual advantage that it tells me if the internet freezes or power cut, it also tells me the modem and switch consume 19 watts., it a plug on one side and socket on the other. The one tells me if we lose PEA or Internet is a BASICR2, because of my whole house UPS, it's impossible to know which power source the house is on without the Sonoff. I prefer to use a 200 baht Sonoff IoT switch as a timer because it stays synchronised to real time. They also have an inching setting, so you can trigger a device and closes contacts for (say) 1 second, which works my garage door and gate from Siri. Most Sonoff devices receive their timing programming from Sonoff's server, thereafter, they will stick to their schedule without internet, but they default to a power-on state of On, Off, or same as when power lost.

Most of them do what's needed. I have a Basic for detecting power or internet failure at my house and another device (I can't remember what it is) at the moo baan pumping station which is on a different phase. And I have yet another 800m away which reboots the communal internet every morning at 5am, that one is the switched socket type.

That makes much more sense. I still hope they fit bigger and better tyres.

It’s currently a 50-50 weight distribution, so I should imagine with a heavier motor. That’s going to increase the weight on the back and decrease the weight on the front. They’re going to have to be fitting much better wheels and tires to get that power down. I hope they still use LFP batteries as they are much more suited to hot climates.

I’m a bit disappointed it’s one big motor and not four-wheel-drive. It currently can’t get all its power down, and it’s not unusual for the traction control to come in and out three times up to about 50 or 60 km/hr, and that is in the dry. I hope they’ve done something to help get the power down.

There a few reasons why you can’t do that. They defecate and urinate so you’re going to make a mess. Secondly, you would have to get them off the glue board, first, or your foot is going to stick to the glue board as well. It’s not easy getting them off the blue board, it’s nigh on impossible.

I haven’t used that, but I have used shipito.com and I find them very good, but it’s an expensive service, it’s much cheaper to acquire whatever you want here or from China

The PWRON at 4,460 baht does exactly the same as the Sonoff switch at 206 baht.

Same here, I used it once to test it, now it stays in the glove box, mine is very small with a socket on the back of the plug, it's also rated at 3.3Kw because there is no cable or lower rated sockets on the end, in the UK they have tested it and the car will give over 6Kw. Regarding fonts on the MG4, the only font I struggle with is what music is playing, but you can select to have it larger text on the speedo display, likewise the Climate Control. Generally, I find it best not to try and use the infotainment system when you're driving, most things can be accessed from the steering wheel and shown on the speedo.

It's all down to what yout intention is here in Thailand.

Getting a Tor Tor Sam (TT3) can be problematic, you need to declare on your transfer to Thailand the reason for the transfer. You can't declare "Buying a house" for obvious reasons, you can declare "Buying a Condominium" though the bank may ask to see a contract which shouldn't proof too difficult.... Reason given as buying a condo, will get you your TT3 but only if you request it at the receiving bank. In any event, providing you don't close your bank account and keep a record of the initial transfer, you can ask the bank at any time in the future to return that money to the UK with or without a TT3. A note on company ownership of property. It is not illegal for a foreigner controlled company to own house(s)/land, BUT, if the purpose of your company is to facilitate illegal ownership of house & land by a foreigner, then it is illegal. Your company has to have another primary trading activity where ownership of the house/land is a necessary part of delivering that activity. In the highly unlikely event of being investigated, they have to prove your intention was to find a way around the land ownership law. There are ways, so put your thinking cap on.

I resemble that remark! I love pink on a car, especially the Nissan metallic pink. In my early 20's I had a car in metallic salmon with an olive leather interior, more orange than pink, those were the days.

The other way to look at this is your responsibility is to return the house in good condition. If the rats destroy the furniture or cause damage, you can't do that. Actually, I'm surprised the landlord lets you have 4 dogs.

I use both glue boards and poison. You need to be a bit proactive and have a strong constitution with glue boards, recognise when you have caught a rat/rats and kill them afterwards, I drown them by putting the whole board under water. In my garage which serves as a storage area for the usual junk, I put poison in the boxes.

It's not unreasonable for the landlord to expect you to put down glue boards or rat poison, or traps. My first thought about rats would be what is attracting them.

Rats can often be caused by lifestyle, make sure you are not putting garbage where it attracts rats. The other problem with rats, is rats attract snakes.

I hope you're right. I am less confident that all the youtubers here in Thailand have gone about it correctly. I have a friend here in Chiang Rai who does it, and I know he hasn't.

I don't know about the weight or size of each car, but the MG4 has about 80% more power so it's not surprising it's much quicker.

There are a couple of other issues. For foreign individual or organisations to film for anything commercial, you need government approval here with a particular type of visa. Secondly, this is the guy's job, if he doesn't have the right visa/gov't permission, he's earning money doing this, so he needs a work permit and must pay taxes if he lives here. I suspect this is only going to get worse.

I haven't driven the Dolphin but I do own the MG4 (X). I think you need to drive them both, back to back, the MG4 blew me away. It feels a lot larger than it is and is very much geared towards driver pleasure. I thoroughly enjoy driving it and look forward to going out in it. I do drive it quite spiritedly. One statistic missing is DC Charging speed for the MG4, it's almost double the Dolphin at 117Kw. Also the 0-100km/hr achieved by multiple roadtesters is about a second quicker than posted above. The Dolphin performance looks a bit tame to me.

I think grout is a carbonate and any acidic Ph is bad for the grout. I am concerned about the chemistry of Ph- powder, I don't know what it is, there are lots of things you can put in your pool that will eventually screw up the water so that you have to partially drain and refill, TriChlor etc. Ph- powder could be turning into something that may cause problems eventually. I suspect it's Citric Acid which is an organic compound and may leave something unwanted in the water. With liquid acid, it is HydroChloric Acid (Muriatic if you're from the former colonies), formula HCl, it doesn't turn into anything you don't want in your pool.

Gives me a headache, and the NVH is what causes driver fatigue. Silence is Golden.
