  1. You can get PPF in 4 flavours Clear Shiny Clear Matt Clear Shiny self-healing Clear Matt self-healing I had my Taycan (Dolomite silver) wrapped in Clear Shiny self-healing. It cost 65,000 baht. It got no swirls in 2 years because it fully self-heals, in the demo they scuff it up with wire brush and put it in the sun for 5 minutes and all the scratches have gone. There are 2 ways to install. Patterns computer controlled cut off the roll to fit each panel. Actually, they are about 2mm short for each panel. The issue with those is the edges collect the dirt, but because they aren't wrapped around 180 degrees on the panel edges, they don't come loose. The 2nd way is without patterns and the install overlaps each panel my about 10-12mm and wraps it underneath out of sight. It's a much neater installation but it is prone to peeling underneath. This what I had (manufacturer Rhino I think). My experience is installation is an iterative process. They do the whole car, then a couple of days after you have picked it up, they have to repair or re-wrap some panels and in my case it took maybe 4-5 attempts. I am not sure I would do it again. The car was like showroom new after 2 years. but the process is a PITA, and you probably need to redo it every 5 years. I could be tempted to do the matt PPF but probably not self-healing (half the price) and replace it when it swirls, although I would be worried the glue damages the paint, the longer the warp is on the bigger the risk.
  2. They don't need to be compensated, because they made a risky decision to open when the health minister said not to sell recreational cannabis. Fast Facts In 2022, 30.7% of 12th graders reported using marijuana in the past year, and 6.3% reported using marijuana daily in the past 30 days.1 Compared to teens who do not use marijuana, teens who use marijuana may be less likely to graduate from high school or college.2,3 Research shows that marijuana use during teen years can harm the brain.4,5 How Does Marijuana Use Affect Teen Health? The teen brain is actively developing and continues to develop until around age 25. Marijuana use is associated with increased risk for the following issues4: Harm to brain health. Marijuana use beginning in teen years or younger may affect brain development which may impair thinking, memory, and learning. Mental health issues. Marijuana use has been linked to depression and social anxiety in adults.4 People that use marijuana are more likely to develop temporary psychosis (hallucinations, not knowing what is real, and paranoia) and long-lasting mental disorders, including schizophrenia. Schizophrenia is a type of mental illness where people might see or hear things that aren’t there. The association between marijuana and schizophrenia is stronger in people who start using marijuana frequently at an early age.10 Impaired driving. Driving while impaired by marijuana is dangerous and illegal. Marijuana affects reaction time, coordination, and concentration—skills required for safe driving.11 Increased potential for marijuana use disorder. People who begin using marijuana before the age of 18 are at increased risk of developing marijuana use disorder.12 Marijuana and Youth: The Impact of Marijuana Use on Teen Health and Wellbeing | Featured Topics | Marijuana and Public Health (cdc.gov) I am sure you know better than the CDC, pfft
  3. For myself, as long as all statements are factually correct, I have no problem. Just don't say it's safe, non-addictive and doesn't trigger mental illness.
  4. Yorkshireman here too (Guiseley), for those that don't about Yorkshiremen, we are like Scotsmen with the generosity wrung out of them.
  5. No it's not. You are wrong. It was never intended for a rich profitable Thai company to send money abroad, reducing their profit and tax in Thailand (possibly to zero) and then return it to the business owner's personal account the following year (supported by a personal invoice from the previous year for consultancy) with no tax payable at any time by anyone corporate or individual in any company. This is the loophole they want to close and it's costing Thailand enormously. My accountant has been warning me for over a decade that this loophole will be closed.
  6. It has created a loophole because it is being used in ways not intended. it is a loophole for those people who are using it to avoid paying tax anywhere.
  7. It's already in effect for income remitted in the same year earned (has been for many years), what's new is closing the loophole of remitting it the following year. As before, it's practically impossible to enforce it, but it does give them the right to challenge a large incoming transfer and ask you to prove you paid tax on it, but it's not farang's they are after, it's rich Thais exploiting the loophole, but I dare say, transferring from a privacy oriented tax haven might raise a few flags.
  8. Only the Porsche Taycan Turbo and the Lotus faster than the new MG Cyberster in that EV list.
  9. I apologise, I couldn't resist it.
  10. That's probably as long as it takes KhunLA to put his teeth in ????
  11. If you earn money tax-free overseas and have been remitting it the following year to avoid tax then yes, otherwise chillax, it's not aimed at you.
  12. I said this was their intention all along. Simply closing the tax-free remit following year loophole.
  13. Any car not made or assembled here (CKD) is expensive to insure. Roojai (for example) won't insure any of these cars. If Tesla open a plant here I think it will make a lot of difference. I suspect they are insuring those Chinese manufacturers who have committed to manufacture or assemble here.
  14. I just renewed the insurance on my daughter's 1 year old MG EP+, the dealer quoted 19,000 baht but we went with Roojai for 8,800 baht with a max cover of 610,000 baht. I would have preferred a higher coverage but they wouldn't go any higher.
  15. In Thailand 40% generally means it blocks about 40% of the light, in America The Former Colonies, it means it allows 40% of the light through. I am surprised at Lamina's definition, it doesn't really mean anything, it's a product name.
  16. My Benz had nearer 95% or 99% tint on the sunroof, the sun appeared as a dark purple blob.. I always go for 40% reduction all round. My first car here I went with 60 or 80 on the side windows (I can't remember which) and at night time I had to lower the windows to see if the junction was free. I agree with you on the cheaper films, my MG4 came with free film, and it's rubbish, I can't see it lasting more than a 2-3 years.
  17. The issue I have with age 20 is this..... We know Cannabis harms the developing brain. We know brains continue to develop until mid 20's (M26, F24) Yet we set the age limit at the age of adulthood, not the age brains stop developing. There's a mismatch here. I suspect most 20-25 year olds that try Cannabis for the first time, don't even know that it can damage their brains.
  18. There can be more than one cause for an illness. For example, do we say it's ok to smoke cigarettes because thousands of people have lung cancer from other sources? I do support medical cannabis, I also support recreational cannabis with safeguards, one of those being informed consent. It's important that people understand the risks and don't try it because a stoner says "It's perfectly safe" when clearly it isn't and for young users it has very severe, lifelong consequences. The safeguards needed are entirely missing in Thailand and the government should have addressed those first before (un)intentionally legalising recreational use. I also support legalising MDMA with controlled production & similar safeguards. I would prefer to see revelers at nightclubs taking MDMA than alcohol, they can love each other instead of fighting each other.
  19. Hear failure, strokes and heart attacks, 60% more likely in heavy cannabis users. Adults Who Overuse Cannabis Are 60 Percent More Likely to Suffer From Serious Heart Conditions, Study Reveals (msn.com)
  20. I can't say where I would prefer one pedal driving as I've never tried it. When I first drove the MG4 I was resetting regen to the lowest setting at every start and then I thought it was too much hassle so I just left it the default maximum as I started the car, now I prefer it at maximum. Once you get the hang of it, you are hardly using the brakes, if I release the accelerator too early, I just let the car creep the last few metres, but mostly it's muscle memory and I seem to get it right most of the time.
  21. If adults want to make an informed decision to use cannabis recreationally, then I think as long as government puts the appropriate rules & framework in place, we should allow it. We have to prevent those vulnerable members of society who are most at risk to it's negative effects, gaining access to the drug. I tend to agree with UK Law Enforcement, surrender your driving licence if you want to use Cannabis recreationally.
